Ross O'Neri
Good win for Star though Threave will no doubt blame the ref. Still feel Star would have won by two or three had it remained eleven-a-side. Two red cards for two footed challenges. Neither player dived in off the ground but more and more refs give red cards for this type of challenge as Star has found to their cost this season. Third red was for denying goalscoring opportunity which was probably fair enough as McHarrie was sure to have a shot at goal though some refs would have shown a yellow out of sympathy. Both teams had a couple of important players missing but after this Threave missed theirs more. For the first time in a few years a lot of people fancied Threave before this match with Skin now in charge. He certainly has his work cut out as it's not easy attracting new players and with Threave in their current position it will be even more difficult. For Star nice wee confidence booster and players played a smart game keeping their heads while all around them were losing theirs. Hopefully now we can kick on and get a wee run going even with Edinburgh City heading down next week.
