I don't know. I can see improvements from previous eras, especially in the first half of the campaign, not so much in the 2nd half when it came to the nitty gritty. He has tried to evolve us and has gave the more technically gifted players a chance instead of shit festing it. Realistically who would want the job? Who can we afford? I think he is the best Scottish candidate but maybe that isn't saying much. It would be easier to answer if we knew who the best candidates for the job actually are. 54_and_counting Posted October 9, 2015 Share Posted October 9, 2015 My worry with strachan is that he started well and regressed ever since. regressed is harsh given in our last 5 games the only shock result for our 4th seed team is the loss to georgia we beat the 3rd seed team at home we drew away to the 3rd seed team lost at home to the world champions drew at home to the 2nd seed team (i maybe mixing up the seeds of ireland and poland, but the point remains, we're a 4th seeded team and we finished 4th, the georgia result is the only actual shock result that was bad for us, but you could argue that the 3 points we got from the ireland and 2 poland draws countered that) only thing i'll say about strachan is his selection process looks awful, picking mulgrew for the squad when he clearly isnt going to play is ridiculous, that place could have went to a bloody highly rated scotland under 21 or under 19 player just to give them the taste of what the big team is like on matchdays, both had the same chance of playing anyway Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
