Moo
I can't see many changes to the next campaign personnel wise as we don't have good enough players coming through. I think Bain(hopefully), Armstrong and Shinnie will be squad players with Armstrong the most likely to start games out the three. Bain really has no chance unless Marshall or Gordon are injured. McGregor is on his way out IMO. I'd like to see Matt Phillips drafted back in as well but f**k knows, Strachan doesn't like him or doesn't think he'll fit for some reason. Gauld could potentially break through but it depends on game time for Sporting first team. I actually think we have a no bad squad at the minute, goals is our main concern at the minute. Right back and Centre half are our weakest positions at the minute. Sadly we have no one breaking through in these positions.

Ya Bezzer!
The big concern is defensively. Our players in those positions just aren't good enough. Compare with Miller, McLeish, Gough, Malpas, even Hendry and Calderwood. Not sure what can be done there to be honest and you don't see anyone coming through. Ross.
Play to our strengths - a 0-4-6 formation! I think that's the current Barcelona set up. Not sure we should copy them again after what happened the last time.
tintax
If Strachan stays in charge f**k all will change. It will be the same shite called up time and time again. This squad needs a mass overhaul, and I just dont see him having the balls to carry it out.

That's why it has to be a foreigner if we do replace him - someone with the baws to spurn the Scottish press and do things like dropping 'undroppable' players. sergie's no1 fan
We'll have Snoddy back too. thankfully. Sad thing is 2nd place is all we can hope for and that only gets us into a play-off. Don't see the need for wholesale changes. A young world class striker, central defender and 2 central midfielders coming through the ranks would be nice though. Probably looking to build the team around the core of a Hanley-Martin partnership, Brown McArthur in the middle and Naismith either playing up top or off a striker. Who realistically can replace Hutton at right back? D.Fletcher in the middle? I know Jack has been touted, is it time to start bleeding him in? Probably. Can't throw young guys in 2 early though but call them up to the squads. Our back up central defenders are Berra and Greer ffs, can you actually imagine the panic if the 4 1st/2nd choice defenders were all injured? George Parr
6 points will be required from the first two matches of this campaign so at least we'll know nice and early whether we've screwed it up again or not.

La_Leyenda
What about Shinnie at right back? Did he play there at various times for Caley or did I imagine that? Pretty sure he played there in the cup final. Moving a full back to the other side of the park isn't the biggest positional change in the world. And, although he's a midfielder for Aberdeen, Ryan Jack played right back for Scotland U21s. They're options to look at in friendlies at least. Be interesting to see who these friendlies are against though, I think we'll be playing teams who have qualified so might be a few big ones. Maybe France? Wales might fancy a friendly.
