Next Sunday, the 20th will see the 8th or possibly the 9th charity event contesting the Eric Hickey Sheild

Last year we tried a round robin event that seemed to go on too long so we have tweaked things again.

On Sunday at the Brig O'Lea the details are as follows,

1pm Neilston v Pollok

2:15 Arthurlie v Arden Villa Veterans

After the second semifinal there will be a short seven a side match between the Neilston Wasps sides then the final.

After the game it's the Crofthead Bowling Club for raffles and the like.

Entry is £5 for adults, £2 for seniors and kids above 10, under tens go free.

Please make an effort to come along and support us!

Its y and the suns shining, the action kick off at 1pm when the hosts Neilston face Pollok, at 2:15 Arthurlie lay Arden Villa Veterans then following a short break the two winners will contest the final.

The Neilston squad includes among others, current manager Andy Whiteford, Brian Hewitt, Dennis Connaghan, Gary Sturrock etc While Pollok have the likes of Ian Wilson, Steven and Kevin O’Neil, Bryan Dingwall, and more
Arthurlie have the likes of Steven Convery, Lee Sharp, Alan Waddell to name a few while Arden have Jose Quitongo in their ranks.

There will also be a few gust players on show including current Rob Roy manager Stuart Maxwell and Auckinleck legend Steve Mallan.

Neilston 2 Pollok 2 (Neilston win on penalties, well Brian Hewitt wins on penalties!!)

Arthurlie 4 Arden Villa 1

Arthurlie beat Neilston 3-0 in the final.

Great day and great seeing the old legends on the pitch followed by the Neilston Wasps, the players of tomorrow.

Well done Robert on another great event.
