PrestersKTID
Out of interest, what website were you looking on? Wikipedia where else ha. Was just scanning it quickly and never noticed Larsson. Did find it weird that he wouldnt have been in it.
LinksParkDynamo
Well say Messi retires at 34 then Ryan Gauld will be 25, a good age to really enter his prime as a player and be picked up by Barcelona for that £48 million release clause. Ryan Gauld will never be a top class player

The Chlamydia Kid
I think the fact that fletcher> mccoist blows that cretinous criteria out the water immediately Rubbish! Mccoist won 2 golden boots.

MangoBroccoli
Anyone who thinks Darren Fletcher is a defensive midfielder clearly knows nothing about football. Neither was Roy Keane, incidentally. Lambert was. He played the "Makelele role" before anyone had heard of Makelele.
SlipperyP
I love this Kid guy. Players I've seen. I'm sure there was more before Willie Miller

I remember Roy Keane playing as a centre forward for Notts Forrest back in the day. But he definitely was a defensive midfielder as opposed to a creative one. As is Fletcher at this point in his career.

Ali_Wee_Jag
What do people class as "world class"?World Class would be a player able to walk into any team in the world, except for the tiny reason that he's not necessarily born there. For example, Lionel Messi and Gareth Bale are world class (though neither could walk into the Scotland team).

Savage Henry
Nigel Quashie Whilst clearly taking the piss, Quashie was an excellent midfielder for Scotland. Terrific player.
Gordopolis
Whilst clearly taking the piss, Quashie was an excellent midfielder for Scotland. Terrific player. Agreed - a real dynamo. He epitomised the rocket up the arse Walter Smith gave the national team (even tho Berti gave him his debut). Would have won 25 caps or so had he not suffered years of injury after breaking through for us.

printer
I'd have to agree with this. I can't think of a truly world class player after Dalglish. Agreed. To class Hansen and McGregor as world class is preposterous.
