Alibi
Queens look a much better side to me than St Mirren. I was surprised how poor St Mirren were against us. Only our poor finishing saved them from a bit of a doing. I would expect Queens to see them off fairly easily. My prediction: Red card for Goodwin. JRS LEFT PEG
Surprised Smurn haven't won yet. Smith could well start up front in Lyle's absence .
palmy_cammy
I can see parallels between this game and our early season victory over Hibs last year. Like the Saints, Hibs were still coming to terms with this division and we managed to pick up the win. Similarly this could be a good time to play St Mirren, although we're not exactly firing on all cylinders ourselves yet. Although it's far too early to be truly assess our chances, I tend to feel that if we can win this one then I wouldn't rule out our chances of being involved in the playoffs. Defeat may resign me to a season of mid-table (or worse).

QosLoyal
If we win then we go 10 points in front of st murn.Early days but that would be some gap after 5 games. With the signings we have made tonight i am hopeful. I will say 2-1 south oliver x2

sergie's no1 fan
https://instagram.com/p/7QqFsqS032/?taken-by=brackenskye Wee video of Thommo's goal. So is he and Goodwin still finished at this level? .
Lex
Great win for us yesterday. Langfield dominated in goal, Webster dominated the back line, Goodwin dominated the midfield and Thompson dominated upfront. With a spine of those 4 starting every week we will do just fine. As well as we played, was pretty disappointed with QOTS. Especially second half, I was expecting a real charge from them and us to be hanging on... Just never really materialised, they created very little and we cruised home. I thought they were far better than that. We should have won by more in the end, Gallagher and McMullan both passed up really good chances. Falkirk at home next week, if we can beat them we really will be rolling. overthetop
Fowler doesn't have his problems to seek. Very ordinary again yesterday that's four home defeats on the trot for 1 against 9. The experienced players in the side let us down only energy from young boys. Conroy and Miller as idle as they come. New squad but at the moment little quality on display. SUPERSOUTH
Big week ahead Fowler has to earn his wage with some big decisions starting with the goalie, the defence dont look overly confident in him. The defence Brownlie is never a right back, we need kidds positive attacking energy, midfield is moving at snails pace Millar & Conroy to slow while Russell needs a wee break, upfront we must start Oliver he looked so lively when he came on. In other words my team v raith would be Atkinson Kidd dowie Higgins Marshall Harris Millar Jacobs Conroy Oliver Smith if Lyle suspended. Subs Brownlie Tapping Russell Hutton Coogans Moxon Thomson. We played very poorly yesterday. Offered very little. Goals were cheap too. St Mirren deserved their win but I'm not sure we learned an awful lot about how good they may or may not be. They just had to be solid and take advantage of a couple of chances gifted them. You're right. if anything the margin should have been bigger. It was an all round bad day for us, at least until Oliver came on and livened us up a bit. Webster was outstanding and absolutely strolled it. Thompson dominated us physically for 45 minutes but does look as if he's laboring a bit. Not sure he's got much longer at this level. Not sure I'd credit Goodwin or Langfield with much either. Goodwin was ok, but a wee bit fortunate not to be booked long before he was. Langfield was largely untested apart from big hanging crosses he can catch all day. His kicking wasn't great either. He made a good save right at the end from Heffernan though it appeared.
QosLoyal
Oliver and smith up top next week. Get harris in team too and try coogans.Need some pace and urgency as that was just utter guff. Kidd in too. Second goal was appalling. How many opportunities have we had at home in the last 4 games? Hardly any. And i love the guy but tan man should not be lasting 90 minutes every week. I thought Langield looked good, though. He dominated his box, sweeping up everything that came into it. Compare that with Thompson who seems rooted to his line at times. I can see why Brownlie and Dowie swapped but it just didnt work. Quite surprised Brownlie stayed on as long as he did. At 2-0 down we were crying out for some quality out wide. Generally, it was just a flat performance. Marshall did well again and Oliver looked good when he came on. We cant keep having these "bad days" though Disappointed in saintees. Very little football on show, seemed happy to simply punt it forward for Thompson and then, later on, for Gallachers pace. They created a few decent chances on the counter second half but not much in general play.
Gareth_Glasgow
It's great to see Goodwin playing himself into the team and proving the many doubters (especially Ian Murray) wrong at the moment. We look a desperately poor team without him. Thompson seems to be on his way to proving dafties like me wrong as well which is great to see. I don't think one goal caused by awful defending suddenly means he's great again but that has to be a confidence boost, hopefully he can get a few more this season if his playing time is managed carefully and we don't let him take any penalties.
