Rubbing my hands at the prospect of this tie and scottishyeltz's tears after drawing another championship club in a cup competition.

Not a great draw but could have been worse against a team where we have a good record against and are managed by a simpleton.

Like winning the league at Forfar, it's almost becoming essential to beat Morton in the cup to go on a decent cup run.

Agreed morton are pivotal to us if we are to go on a very good run in the cups. Hopefully this is another one of those times.

I'm sure the derbies being back will bring a wee bit more excitement for you guys,at least till the first ones out the way. After that it could potentially be more painful viewing as the season goes on.

  • 3 weeks later...

Ah, an evening game that I don't have to take time off for. Tenner on the bus too which isn't too shabby, so I'll definitely be heading along to this one.

I'm still undecided. Probably decide on the night to be honest, getting up very early for work the next morning will be grand...

We don't have anywhere near enough depth in the squad to be thinking about a cup run at the minute. Wouldn't be particularly surprised/disappointed if Duffy plays some of the youth players.

2-0 Queens.

Last time I went to watch Morton in Dumfries we were 4-0 down after about 20 minutes. I'm hoping for a more competitive showing this time.

Cutting out of work just in the nick of time to get the supporters bus too. Will be worth it I'm sure

That was hilarious. It came at the end of the week that saw the birth of the 'Great Feeling' thread, a week that also saw some Morton fan start a thread in the SPL forum asking what fans there thought of Morton's impending arrival.

Hubris that would shame a Rangers fan.

We had Colin Stewart in goal. Wearing a blindfold and gloves smeared with butter apparently. I'm sure all four goals were comedy efforts.

I think the result tonight will be affected greatly by who Morton actually have fit. No word on Gaston after being seriously assaulted by Steven Thomson the other night, probably no Tidser, No McKee (might be a good thing according to some), and several others still out. Gaston in particular would be a huge loss although Grant Adam was actually totally solid when he came on against the skunks. i really have no idea what the result will be although our lack of goals so far is worrying.

Except that's not what happened, it was a thread asking SPL fans if being in the SPL was actually enjoyable because at that time it involved sharing a league with the OF. A ridiculous and immature thread certainly because anyone who doesn't want to see their club at the highest level possible regardless of what clubs they share that level with is a tit, but nothing to say that Morton were going up.

Anyway, impossible to see anything other than a comfortable home win tonight. We can't score and QoS can't fail to.
