How is the boys wilson and watt getting on at beith.

Very early days but they're both coming along very well so far , only friendlies but Hertha knows his players when he see's them and they're both good players for me.

Only heard very good things about them prior to pulling on our Jersey and the hurford fans were correct in saying that both will do well for us .

Aye it certainly was for us,,beith shaping up well,,,

I'm so glad that Andy Reid changed his mind and is now playing on for us, yes I like all of our new signings but Andy has always been a pleasure to watch up front , he will never be a physical type but his awareness , touch and finishing are great for me .

Thanks to cotter for the heads up on this game.

Thought i'd take it in as a nuetral.

3-0 to Beith going on 10.

Thought the first half goalie for the Ants saved them from a real going over.

As for the ground, it must have one of the best transport links on its doorstep of any Junior ground in Scotland.

Other than Cardonald railway station up the hill on Berryknowes Rd there are something 80 buses an hour stopping at the New Glasgow South Hospital five minutes walk away, some of them even stop right outside the ground.

It was only when i arrived the penny dropped, this is very last part of the famous 50 pitches.

I know the sign on the Glasgow City Council fence says Cardonald Park.

Does the City own this ground?

Noticed there were no adverts of any kind which is unusual for a Junior ground.

In fact there didn't seem to be any mention that this was the home of a Junior team.

It must be the tidiest Junior ground in Scotland.

The pitch and surrounds were like a bowling green.

Only one small gripe for the diehards must be the lack of cover.

Still there's always the trees.

Overall a good night and i'd certainly return to Cardonald Park.

Ps, didn't Sir Alex Ferguson live in Fulbar Rd as a child?

Fair play to the Beith fans for travelling up.

Without them the referee would have needed to loan himself the £45 match fee.

Cheers glenconner,,,unfortunately the ants don't have a great deal,of fans,,,or sponsors,,,but agree with, u, bout the pitch, n surrounding area,,it's magnificent,,,as for game,,beith were well, on top, as u would expect,,them to be,,,a thought, we worked hard,, which is what pre season, is all about,,,,n a bit of slackness ,given, away possession, for first 2 goals,,but fairness, to the players, who had a great weekend in Newcastle,, they, kept battling away,,,,glad u came down,,next time,, come over,, n Cotter will take u in for a wee refreshment, b4 game, ht, n full time,,,,,,by the way, if u want to put a board up,,,,,,that b good,,hahaha,,,good luck
