United win 2-1 AET v Dundee. Some good players on show from both sides but as I can't find line ups anywhere I couldn't say who.

Utd have Harry Souttar, brother of John. Played against Whitehill back in July. Met his parents John and Heather, very nice folks, of course they would be, they wanted photos

Our third round tie v alloa was at glebe park. We also play matches at St Andrews uni.

Used to play a lot in Forfar as well as occasional games at arbroath, Montrose and even Dundee north end but that seems to have been binned of late.

Think the top league development games have to played on a licensed ground so that's why you won't play at DNE anymore and at the Angus grounds.

For the SFA Youth Cup you can register 2 home venues to play at so you will have the choice of Tannadice and whatever other ground you have been playing your league games at.

You are in theory supposed to play on your own ground but can play at a back up ground if the recognised ground is "unplayable or unavailable". It's covered by rule 21 of the Youth Cup Rules which goes on to say "The Board expects all clubs drawn first in the ballot ensure that matches are played on the club's recognised ground."

If moving the game from the recognised ground to a nominated second venue clubs are obliged to give formal written reasons for the lack of availability of the usual ground. In practice clubs can and do move games away for convenience on occasion but there is a clear principle that games SHOULD be played at the main club ground.

EDITED to add: Hearts and QoS have agreed to meet at Tynecastle on Sunday 31st January incidentally in their quarter final. This is a week later than scheduled but various existing commitments for both clubs mean no date can be found before then.
