Despite the scoreline, a great deal of work ahead for new Ashfield manager Robert Docherty and his No2 Colin Mitchell. Some inspired goalkeeping by Anton Nugent and the woodwork - hit four times by the Tayside visitors - made it a tight finish. Ashfield played in blue and yellow. Downfield wore white and black hoops..is this the norm? After the Ashfield goal had a charmed life in the first half, the deadlock was finally broken by Ryan Rigden. Jordan Thomson added No 2 with a shot which deflected off Higgins and past Nugent, who had already denied Clark in the same move. Ashfield kept plugging away and centre-back Bobby Docherty headed a well-delivered free kick from the right-hand side by left full-back Sean McBride. Man of the Match for Ashfield - without a doubt Anton Nugent, who made 8 saves, and when he was beaten the crossbar ( three times) and post ( once) came to his aid. Notice three Super Premier Division teams lost today - Petershill, Irvine Meadow and Shettleston, who conceded three goals in a nine-minute spell late on as Bonnyrigg Rose won 4-0 at Greenfield Park. We had a full squad today and it was plain to see the difference . Two goals apiece for Joe Barclay and Nicky Prentice. #Camelon had a goal from their new signing Franny Kelly and a late consolation from D Grant. When a ref comes in before a game and says he has to rule out common sense cause a supervisor is watching him that's when you know the games fucked.
