Luncarty JFC

the bare

Recommended Posts

I pass by the Luncarty ground pretty regularly en-route to see my grandweans at Ballater and I am very surprised about this.

I just commented on how much work appears to have been done on the pitch and surroundings and it looked like they were on the up

Very weird

Programme of the year 2014/15

WINNERS:

Luncarty of the East Region North Division Juniors

The 44 page programme for £1.00 is exceptional value for money. Packed with interesting, readable articles and plenty of colour it’s a joy to read. This small Perthshire club play on front of crowds that struggle to exceed 50 and editor Grant Ritchie deserves credit for producing a programme of consistent quality and value. A well deserved winner.

Sad news, they seem to have some dedicated team members.

Ah, fair enough.

Justification to move someone across then and perhaps introduce some sort of Supplementary Cup to make-up for the 4 missing matches? You could have 7 groups of 4 (playing 3 games) with group winners and best runner-up qualifying for QFs, or similar.

Well they had the chance to move someone over when Harthill folded but didn't, so I very much doubt it will happen now particularly as the first lot of fixtures have been confirmed. Just two idle clubs every week now.

Bit gutting for the clubs in the 13 team division who are only going to get 24 games and therefore only 12 home games, when the system was planned to provide 30 games and therefore 15 home games.

Perhaps establish a Supplementary Cup just for them?

That would be the sticking plaster solution.

Will only get worse....

Name one team that has folded over distance?

The team your profile says you support didnt fold over travel, they folded as they were chancers.

Far more teams will fold because they sell out to money men and dont properly plan for the future than will ever fold over travelling to Harthill or Camelon from Kelty or St Andrews.

He seems to want to attribute this reason to all the ills the game has, when there is absolutely no evidence to support this.

Wasn't a ballingry supporter mate, just a player at the time. Just haven't amended my profile!!! You certainly won't bother me with whatever opinion you have of the people that were involved in the decline of the club!!!

Yes but them that sell out to money men are put out of their misery very quickly the ones with illustrious chairmen who haven't a clue how to run a football club die a slow and very painful death.
