sounds like nonsense .. j-cup round 1 is end of September .. and they knew yesterday Kelty will be available 15th August but not 5th sept, That means they can easily release 7 weeks fixtures from August 8.

Clubs have been notified that fixtures will now be released tomorrow night (12th) or possibly Monday. Reason given for delay is that Kelty have just informed Mr. Reilly that they have now put back their plans for an artificial pitch by a season, meaning that they no longer need to be given away fixtures for the first few weeks.

I do not what the problem is it is still 4 weeks to the first games giving clubs plenty of time to arrange transport for away games or arrange sponsorship. Mr Reilly has to try and help 66 clubs but some people just look at their own wee bubble

Why is it shocking. Mr Reilly could have said to Kelty that they had to play fixtures as planned or as he has done just taken a couple of days extra to make changes to a small amount of fixtures. Cant see what the fuss is about really.

The decision that Kelty postpone their ground works for a year is not an overnight light bulb thought, for other clubs to be waiting about on one club changing their minds after informing the fixture secretary that they could not play home games early part of season Is shocking. IMO

We have been led on week to week on a start date due to planning and bond issues, it was meant to start in June and 6th of July and it never.

We now face having to make a big decision on Monday morning with the contractor and councillors wether to postpone till May or carry on.

My opinion would be to postpone to next season so the league, other clubs and Kelty can get on with the season with no hassle.

It is very much an issue outwith our control so to have a dig at the club isn't on.

I don't think it's a particular dig at Kelty but it's daft that three other leagues can't get their fixtures

(mind you, Harthill's abeyance won't have helped, nor will Downfield's ongoing appeal. So that's all 4 leagues in some form of turmoil  )

No difficult gents.

Planning date 1 experiences issues, planning date 2 is similar.

Anyone in the construction business will know about deadlines etc. between the council, businesses and contractors. Club bn left between rock and hard place with hands tied a bit

Club has intimated to postpone, but I'm sure that will cause other problems outwith football. Kelty want to push on and start the season the same as anyone else.

IF john which I doubt is hanging back to ascertain the outcome of the development plans, then high five to him for displaying common sense. Hardly a disaster waiting 2 days to establish fixtures for a genuine reason
