Friendlies- how are we all getting on

Recommended Posts

Basically another thread to aid us through the final few weeks until the proper games start.

We won 3-0 vs east fife today.

Coming up we have

Berwick away - Monday 6th

Partick(closed doors) - wednesday 8th

Livi away - Saturday 11th

Queens park away(closed door) - Wednesday 15th

Hibs home- Saturday 18th

Proper football(well almost) Saturday 25th, Arbroath away.

How is everyone else doing? Who have you got to play?

It's important to note if you win these games then the results are important, but any losses will be meaningless.

We were meant to be playing Brechin at home today but didn't want to risk the pitch after this mornings monsoon weather.

Our friendlies coming up are:

Hearts at home - Tuesday 7th

Aberdeen at home - Sunday 12th

Dundee at home - Wednesday 15th

East Fife away - Saturday 18th

Celtic at home - Wednesday 22nd

I also imagine we will play Brechin in a closed doors game and also Spartans in a closed door game as well but neither have been confirmed.

I take it the Celtic game is our development team. Since our first team will be in Iceland playing our Euro qualifier same night

Scheduled to play Portadown on 17th then Ballyclare on the 18th.

Don't think we've got any home games as clubs don't want to travel to us. A bit shitty but can't blame clubs for wanting to save cash.

Can't you get a Northern Irish side to travel over, not that far away.

Not sure. I'd like to think it has been tried.

Saying that the two games across the water are a good weekend out for fans. Unfortunately can't make it.

Good opportunity for Stinlar fans to get a look about the ferry....
