parsforlife
Young, not that I expect him to do much wrong, but it's typical for teams to be promoted, struggle and punt their manager in desperation. How many sacking did we have last year? 4?

CowdenLoyal
We don't have the funds to sack anyone even if Nish is shite. Has a player manager ever been sacked as manager and continued to play with the same club?
diegomarahenry
We have made McCall unsackable regardless of next seasons outcome The mess he inherited could take a couple of years to fix so a 2 year makes sense but if he struggles....we can't afford to pay off a 2 year deal Hes not shown signs of struggling yet
The Pastmaster
Young, not that I expect him to do much wrong, but it's typical for teams to be promoted, struggle and punt their manager in desperation. Disagree, Rovers gave Darren a two year contract a month ago and club/manager knocked back Dumbarton when they wanted to speak to him about their vacancy. Irrespective of how it goes I expect him to see out the season at least
Dug
Our board gave Mark Roberts almost 3 years. Ayr United is the safest job in Scotland.

How many sacking did we have last year? 4? Unlikely, as alluded to earlier Darren is on a 2 year contract which means regardless how bad we are doing we won't be able to afford to punt him

CowdenConvert
Johnston, before Christmas. about Halloween would be my guess. just after we've humped them and they hit the bottom of the league,
kerrdavidson95
It still astounds me how any club in the lower divisions can hand out multi-year contracts to managers. I thought we'd have learned our lesson with Kenny Black but we did the same with Boyle and he went months too late.

strichener
Who do you think won't see the season out? Johnston & McInally for me McInally must be in the top 2 or 3 longest serving managers in Scotland. Any reason why you think he will be gone? NewBlue
McInally must be in the top 2 or 3 longest serving managers in Scotland. Any reason why you think he will be gone? Aye we have done OK for signings so far with much of the squad staying on from last season, a bit short at the back but assuming we get a couple of bodies in I think we can manage a mid table finish this season again. The board seem to back him and his signings so it would have to be a dire campaign for him to go.
AyrExile
Brian Reid will take Stranraer from the good play offs to the other and his people management style will wind up the committee.

Lawro
If anything we held onto the last one too long Tam. Correct. Nichol should have gone in December. Nish won't get the same deal. If we're struggling by Xmas, and we may well be, he'll get punted. Cannot afford another relegation. That could finish the club.
