Junior signed player playing for amateurs

Can someone shed some insight in to this new ruling please - new kids on the block trying to get our heads round all these rules and regulations.

So - 1) can we sign a player on a pro form but then allow them to play with one of our u21s/u19s teams?

2) if we have to sign them as an amateur to allow them to play for u21/u19 team can they then be signed by another junior team for pittance?

This is obviously around the younger players within our academy who may not be quite just there for the step up to juniors but they have certainly got the potential.

I think there's such a thing as a delayed transfer; they would be registered to your youth team but able to play for the juniors. Don't know much more about it though. I'm sure someone will.

It's normal to have a youth player signed and put on a transfer form which means he is registered by both teams and can play with both teams but this transfer form needs to be signed by both secretary's of both clubs. So the player if signed by you can't play with anyone else unless the club agree to that or if you release the player.

And just to explain concept of a 'delayed transfer' is basically means Club A signs a player from Club B - but this is effectively a loan from B to A - so Club B immediately lodge a re-signing registration which has a set date on it and when that date arrives, the player reverts from Club A to Club B.

This has caught a few clubs out as Junior teams need to pay a £40 tax on signing anyone from Senior football, called Reinstatement. There have been cases of Junior clubs signing a player thinking that he was a legitimate Junior, when in fact in the interim period he has reverted to Senior status with a Senior club (the Club B above). Kevin Montgomery signing for Arthurlie from Gretna an example - Arthurlie thought they'd signed him from Glenafton but he'd reverted to Gretna for a few days as it was only a delayed transfer he was on at Glenafton.

Okay lok,so what we're saying is,and we'll call the player C here, B-C = A+C,then A-C = B+C. Hopefully clubs D and F won't become involved in this wheeling and dealing.

As I understand it there is or at least was a dual registration agreement between the SJFA and SYFA allowing SYFA registered players to also play Junior football. Seem to remember was a special form. Your Academy people should be able to find out from the SYFA.

You can sign a player on a delayed transfer from the youths which allows him to play junior and with his youth side....the youths must send him out on a temporary transfer and the correct paperwork sign. U both clubs and when it's submitted to Hamden you just remind them it's a delayed transfer

if u sign a player junior,,,he cant play amatuer unless you release him

I know before if a player signed on a professional form and happens to fall out with his junior club for some reason he can apply to the SFA registrations and register as an amateur player which takes 28 days to get this cleared and can revert to play amateur football. The only stipulation is he must register what amateur club he is going to play for and can only play for that team but obviously cannot return to any junior club for that season.
