Who is this guy? I'm biased because he played for Hibs. Is he a Roy Aitken or a Paul McStay?

Lots of people say he is the best player in Scotland. What makes him such a great player?

Because everyone else playing in Scotland is just less shite.

Scott Brown is a shite footballer in the sense that he's not particularly skilful and he's not particularly great at scoring goals or assists. He is the best hatchet man though, and I mean that in the best possible way. Celtic are half the team without his guile and influence and that was shown throughout the spell he missed early last season.

He's a top player and every normal (Obviously are exceptions) club needs a player like him I reckon.

I'd agree with that. Think he'd do extremely well at a mid-table English Premier League side.

Correct. Not sure if he's our best player, but he's definitely our most important player. The perfect captain.

He's no Paul McStay or even John Collins, he doesnt score enough and has the occasional braindrain moment (the red card v Barca)

But for all his critics outwith and within the Celtic support we, and the national side as well are much poorer without him. What he has in abundance is courage and a heady mix of drive and arrogance, ive seen countless games where he has driven us on to win games we shouldnt by bossing and sometimes intimidating opponents who very often are technicaly better but dont have the bottle or character required when it comes to walking the walk.

Also his trolling of absolute fucking wallopers like Ian Black and El Hadj Diouff was priceless :D

In all seriousness Scott Brown is the best young player I've seen come through at Hibs.

He was a dynamic box to box midfielder who could tackle, pass, run at pace and have had a shot on him. He had the world at his feet.

Celtic completely ruined him though - but for £30k pw, loads of medals, champions league experiences and all this close to home I doubt he regrets a thing.

Scott Brown gave one of the best individual performances I've ever seen when Hibs thrashed us at Fir Park a few years ago, 6-0 was it?

The idea that he has no technical ability or skill is just rubbish.

Celtic made him, he was never going to keep playing the way he did at hibs. His attitude and silly bookings would've been his downfall but celtic (strachan?) made him grow up.
