NorthernLights
The SPFL and Highland League have both announced the fixtures for the coming season. Any idea when the Lowland fixtures will be released? Quite fancy planning a trip or two next season.

HibeeJibee
Isn't bonfire night November 5th ? Maybe they burn things down for several days in Rosewell, tbf... Fondly recollecting those pre-internet days when all we had was Ceefax who'd list the opening, New Year and closing fixtures . In homage: Saturday 1st August 2015 Dalbeattie Star v Vale of Leithen East Kilbride v BSC Glasgow Edinburgh City v Gretna 2008 Preston Athletic v Gala Fairydean Rovers Selkirk v Edinburgh University University of Stirling v Spartans Whitehill Welfare v Threave Rovers Saturday 2nd January 2016 East Kilbride v Cumbernauld Colts Gala Fairydean Rovers v Selkirk Gretna 2008 v BSC Glasgow Preston Athletic v Whitehill Welfare Spartans v Edinburgh City Threave Rovers v Dalbeattie Star University of Stirling v Edinburgh University Saturday 16th April 2016 BSC Glasgow v Preston Athletic Selkirk v East Kilbride Spartans v Gretna 2008 Threave Rovers v Edinburgh University University of Stirling v Dalbeattie Star Vale of Leithen v Cumbernauld Colts Whitehill Welfare v Edinburgh City

HibeeJibee
Fair point, Grim. (Do they have schools in deepest darkest Rosewell?). Incidentally - Cumbernauld Colts, venue a plastic pitch in Lanarkshire, make their home LL debut v Whitehill on the first midweek of the season. Remember your boots this time, eh lads; they may not have a basket at Broadwood ...

surely not!
While I think it's fantastic to have the full fixture list, I do have a gripe with the dates of cup finals. Theoretically the finalists of the challenge cup may not qualify for the league cup knockout. Would it not make sense for tis cup final to be played sooner after the season to avoid a potential five week break? The league cup at the end of the season is win and carry on ( or get turfed out for fielding ineligible players.....) I know there's a clash with the playoffs but that's potentially one side and can't be two so schedule it then and have a reserve date just in case. The breaks between the final league games and latter stages of cup comps were far too long. Interesting the new year fixtures are fairly local games yet ww can't even get Preston in the league cup Who knows maybes that'll be all in this season ? I have no problem with playing the league cup when they do, and the 'advance and your season continues' that works so well in american sport actually adds a wee bit to the games, it's just the scheduling of the challenge final that annoys.
