Man on a bike
Good to see the fixtures for all leagues announced. Pretty tricky I would guess with 92 clubs and 4 leagues. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33156147 Probably much as easier as none of the clubs involved play in the Scottish Junior Cup - that so called holy grail, having to make do with the FA Cup. Tell me again, why we can't have a season's fixture list arranged by this stage? 1. Can't be ar**d 2. Too much like hard work 3. Too tricky by far 4. This way it is easier to fix matches to suit my own club towards the end of the season 5. Sponsors would get upset knowing the dates of games in advance that they might want to support 6. Giving 3 days notice is much more fun for everyone. 7. This is how it has always been done 8. We did it like this last year and it worked ok 9. I know there is software available that would do the job for all leagues in an hour or so, but we don't know how to use technology, and anyway we would consider such activity to be the work of the devil. 10. Those of us who have SFA blazers have official trips to go on, games to attend (1st class flights and all). We can't be everywhere at once and we need to be seen to support the junior game, even when it is awfully inconvenient.. 11. Sepp told us to do it this way. 12. We are in charge, we decide, so shut up and go away

Hertha/BJFC1938
Post of the century . These idiots need to be removed from power and get the Jamie wires/ clash city rockers/ hibbejeebee ( or whatever he's called in charge of the game) Ps it's all my own opinions of course and nothing to do with my club before they wish to hammer my club and myself for my valid opinions
Moondancer
Man on a bike Constipation was nearly relieved there, thought for one minute west region had been working behind the scenes to produce a sensible and fair fixture list so that we can all plan for buses, sponsors days, ground maintenance, renting our ground out for extra income, gala days at the park etc, etc, but hopes were dashed again, still we can dream, or we can talk to each other and move this forward
Burnie_man
Didn't Jamie Wire conduct an experiment a few years back reagrding a full season fixture list and he had to admit defeat midway through? Not saying it's not possible, but it's not straightforward either.
saladnorangejuice
The fixtures need sorting 100% we all know Cups need factored in. I'm sure many methods have been looked into but not feasible. Can't have a situation firstly where a team has played all league fixtures and others have 8 left to play, secondly can't have teams playing into middle of June with 3 fixtures a week! It's ok until Scottish cup fixtures kick in then replays needed and then you have the teams in the senior Scottish cup....I feel sorry for the fixture guys who get so much grief but if others think they can do better why don't they go to the agm and put themselves forward for the job
Todd_is_God
I don't think scottish replays should be a huge problem - they aren't in the seniors. Don't schedule a card for the first two rounds. Thereafter simply postpone a game that clashes with a Scottish tie. Allowing teams with lights to use them would be sensible as well.
Broomage5
I am sure all the clubs and supporters etc, of the 3 regions , would favour all fixtures being scheduled at the start of the season. Ideally this would be fantastic for everyone. I am also sure that this would be easy to set up initially at the start of the season, but as soon as the first call offs due to weather, then intervention would apply to get every team a match. We all know that some grounds suffer postponement more than others through no fault of their own. So guys, instead of slating the officials who I'm sure try their best, try and come up with a solution to go forward with.

You'd need to change a few things (e.g. Junior Cup getting played in winter months is not compatible) - with the current approach it's nigh on impossible IMO. English non league is miles ahead of the juniors and I Remember last pre-season travelling down to North Shields to watch our club on a Saturday . In comparison to lots of junior clubs I would class the setup/ ground of North Shields as average at best but they did have floodlights which gives themselves and the non league association loads of scope regarding both planning and fulfilling of fixtures. Sadly outwith a few examples in Linlithgow and sauchie the junior world is miles behind these English non league clubs in terms of floodlights being readily available for use. Lights everywhere! But I agree, in this day and age all clubs should have floodlights.

The east is certainly leading the way over Ayrshire floodlight wise as there are only a few in Ayrshire who can boast to have floodlights . Lots of money involved to install them but it would be a great start to ease fixture congestion.

Hristo Stoichkov
Much would it cost to install and run floodlights at a standard junior ground? Mind we had floodlights about 15-20 years ago, don't know what happened to them. If you're hardly ever using them they'd fall into disrepair pretty quickly I'd imagine tho
