Owsley
Not a regular on this forum so don't know if he's been mentioned much but I see he has just won the league with Lech Poznan, playing 27 games and scoring 3 goals. Never seems to get a mention for Scotland. Get the feeling Strachan would call up Lee Wallace again before a 25 year old playing at a very high level. Gordopolis
Didn't realise he had won the league over there. Surely worth a look in the next friendly although we do have a few good options at LB (Robertson, Whittaker and Mulgrew).
Waffelz
I cannot for the life of me understand how this utter dud gets a game for Lech Poznan. Some improvement if he's genuinely good because he was fucking w**k for us.

It isn't a 'very high level' at all though - Poland is currently 19th in the coefficient rankings, only 4 above Scotland. Looking at the clubs that the players who have been called up to the squad are playing for (excluding the farce of Craig Samson's call-up), Lech Poznan probably rank below all of them, Celtic included. That's excluding the fact we have at least four more players who are more qualified to play the position than Douglas.
Quentin Taranbino
Where does the MLS rank in terms of leagues in the world. Is there a list that ranks world leagues? Always wondered how stuff like the MLS, South American and J League rank officially compared to European
HoBNob
We seem to have a couple of alright left backs coming through. f**k all at right back...
King Kebab
Personally think Bardsley is still our best RB, but he obviously was as the same swingers party as Rhodes and Phillips, the one that WGS caught his wife at!!!

Was that the "mediocre players who Scotland fans have a hard-on for" party? Heard Mackay-Steven and Ross McCormack were there too.

Some improvement if he's genuinely good because he was fucking w**k for us. Obviously he wasn't. Kind of shown by the fact he left us for an (arguably) better team. He was a top six standard left-back, no problem.
Waffelz
Naw. He was awful. He couldn't beat a man and his defending was utterly laughable. Had a good left foot.

invergowrie arab
Thought Douglas came into a game for us after a slow start. Being the meat in a Dixon Robertson sandwich he doesn't get the credit he deserves imo.

ekfootball
Total waste of a thread in my opinion. There are so many players that would be picked ahead of douglas. Robertson, Forsyth, Whittaker, Mulgrew, Shinnie would all need to be injured before douglas would get a shout.

I obviously haven't seen him play recently but he seemed to be doing well at a good level. Forsyth was a bit of a bombscare latterly for Derby County and it's a bit ironic he's now getting capped when his best form was probably a year ago. Who did he keep out the squad that was more deserving?

A younger keeper to give them experience of being in a squad would have been better imo
