is there to be big changes at irvine meadow this season?

Players leaving for sure heard 2 to pollok McCann fancies senior. Think the west could be Stevie's parting gift. Whatever happens there will need to be changes. The decision to go lock stock and barrels to Glasgow has had short term success but leaves us in turmoil if Stevie does decide to leave.

Stevie won't be going anywhere. He is signing players for next year and planning for another year at meadow. Think meadow have to win the west, as the went out early doors in the scottish and had a total collapse in the league after there perfect 11 game start.

If meadow keep the likes of Keenan Murch maxi McCann twaddle Evans deas Staunton and add a few more they will be there or there about I'm sure. All this talk of change and talk of them struggling is nonsense. Rankin is a top manager so I think he will be able to bring in a few decent players. Something has to change because they have had a total collapse in the second half of the season

Rankin and his assistant are already out at games trying to turn players heads for next season .

Is that not a contradiction ?

For me the policy is wrong , long term i just don't think a glasgow based manager , who brings in mostly glasgow based players at ayrshire team will work. Just my opinion.

I am sure Beith and Kilbirnie have had Glasgow based managers over the years and not done them too much harm?!!

Meadow have had a decent number of Glasgow based players for decades, quite a few of our legends are Glasgow based, doesn't make a difference. I agree be good if could attract more local players but since we train in Glasgow it's not appealing for Ayrshire Junior players and local lads to play at Meadow when Hurlford, Talbot and Cumnock etc all train in Irvine. Maybe we are better going for larger Glasgow market than going for same players as 5 or 6 other Ayrshire teams with Pollok / Petershill would be only team that can maybe appeal more to those Glasgow based players.

I do think be a few changes like at any team but I want this team to stick together for rest of this season and try to win the West with a massive game v Arthurlie on Saturday.

Big changes are a must at Irvine meadow if they want to be successful. Players need to go and players must come in. don't know what's happening with Mr ranking if he's going of staying. Attitude from a lot players has been very poor second half of the season. Don't know how this happened but something was not right. Yesterday summed the season up. Should have been out of sight 1st half and from what it looked like from the side we tried to defend the full 2nd half out and it AGAIN bit us in the arse. Disappointing season from a team that were brilliant at the start

Players come and go every season. The lads that want to play for the jersey are more than welcome to stay. We have a good team, just didn't get the rub of the green in the second half of the season.

The lads moving on go with my best wishes, expect to see some turning up in Pollok, Hurlford and Talbot shirts next season.
