Central 1st - Grand finale for survival

Looking at the bottom of the Central First I feel it could be an exciting end to the season.

A quick look at the remaining fixtures looks very interesting. If I`m not mistaken Lanark still have Bellshill, Blantyre and Benburb to face. With two sides in the promotion position I think, without being disrespectful to Lanark they might struggle a bit to take more than a point from these three games and subsequently doomed to the second division.

The Ants still to travel to Maryhill and Larkhall,

Wishaw two games against Dunipace, Blantyre Vics at home and Benburb away.

Larkhall away to Maryhill, Blantyre Vics, Benburb and The Ants at home

Bens still have to travel to Bellshill, then home to Dunipace, Blantyre, Larkhall and Wishaw

I`ve just jotted these down during my tea break so any mistakes no doubt you will correct me and I apologise in advance. But on assumption I`ve got it right there`s a good few " 6 pointers " in there and with a bit of luck the fixtures guy could get it spot on so it`ll be undecided right up until the last Sat of the season.

I think its far to tight to call but I think it`ll be Bens, Lanark and Ashfield going down with St Ants And Wishaw staying up by the narrowest of margins.

Anybody any thoughts?

I hope your correct. Great result for Wishaw today albeit in the cup. Hopefully we stay up.

We have had a decent season in the cups with Big John taking us to the semis of league cup and Chris and his threadbare squad taking us to the quarters or the west today. MON THE WISHY.

I think that it is fair to say that it would be a shock if we took more than 3 points from our remaining 3 games and no surprise if we took no points or only 1.

I fear the worst.

I wasn't wrong. Two good performances against Bellshill and Vics produced null points.

Today we play Benburb at Neilston. We MUST win and hope that Wishaw and Benburb lose their remaining games or we are down. We cannot now catch St Ants.

Highly improbable but mathematically possible for us to survive.
