the negativity on some of the posts astound me. other leagues and teams within seem to back each other and support each other. this league or should i say certain people in certain areas only want to see failure. lack of respect doesnt enhance teams or leagues....only hinders.

i am gobsmacked at how a small populated area such as dumfries and galloway cannot all get behind their clubs together. look at the support and backing the city clubs receive and give each other, and learn a lesson. this is why football in these areas will continue to struggle to move forward. dalbeattie star have punched well above their weight since the league started. they have lost one of the best managers in the league, but they have to move on and local people should respect and support that instead of hoping for failure. i.ve saw it in other leagues in certain areas of scotland and england. small town mentalities lead to small team declines.

What support and backing do the city clubs receive ?

Ed City especially given the way they've won the League this season ? Outstanding by way.!

Unlucky today but what's different to this season compared to last or the eos seasons before that ?

you.ve maybe misinterpreted my take on this post newky. the support the city clubs receive is support in general from each other within the league when their in times of need, or backing. ie edinburgh city were backed to the hilt considerably, and rightly so, so by all other teams when playing brora. spartans were given the same in their scottish cup run. this is genuine support from within. it seems at smaller areas, like threave dalbeattie gala selkirk vale, they tend to go against each other rather than back each other.

Gail, it's part & parcel on here that threads like this pop up/out on occasions. If you read between the lines of most of the OP's you get that they have been dumped by the club they are calling or overlooked for the job they are denigrating (f**k me what a great word for this time of morning I I only got up cos I needed a pish. I need to learn to switch my mobile phone off at night).
