What age is McManus now? It will be interesting to see how he copes with the drop in standard of pitches and players than he is used to and whether he has the appetite to stick it at such a low level.

I agree.Alot of ex pros probably look on it as a step down, as it is in professionalism mabye, but they'll find out in junior football every week will bring a totally different challenge, as in pitches, standards ect. These guys thats played top level need to be able to undestand and be willing to change their game to suit the junior style, and also suit the standard of player they now play with. if they dont and act big time they will be useless, If they act like robbie winters who has played a really high level they become a big asset to our grade of football which can only be a good thing.

sorry for misleading you all but i was asked not to say he had spoken to us.

in fairness if your trusting anyone on Pie and Bovril then you have issues lol

Hmmm, so after a month of inactivity on this thead you thought you'd revive it on 25th May by asking if Tam had signed anywhere yet, when it was common knowledge well before that (including on this thread) that he was joining you ? Doesn't seem like the actions of somebody who wanted to keep something quiet to me, it seems you wanted the speculation to continue so were giving it a wee nudge.

Bit of a silly statement that, the majority of posters on here are good junior men, supporters or committee Ok you get a few at it but to say nobody is to be trusted on here is a bit wide of the mark.

Maybe you said it off the cuff but when your involved with a club everything you say here will be picked up on , certain statements can come across badly.

RRG stop picking on the new guy!!

It was quite obvious it was a tongue in cheek remark given the "lol" at the end of his statement.... But then you knew that didn't you!! :P
