jimmy grimble
I watched the whitehill game tonight... Had 3 under 20s starting and 3 more on the bench, couple of them done ok. Whitehills more experienced players were shocking though..couldn't believe how bad they were at times!
The_Matador
Seags?? He's already been there and failed. Why would they want him back.... Thought he was taking over somewhere else?

Not sure he failed- think he actually walked out after a row iirc.
surely not!
Whoever comes in needs a fair bit of surgery to the squad and will Need the ability to attract players. The smaller squad hasn't helped them this year but at this level it's hard to keep everyone happy in a jig squad. Spartans loaded their squad with good players but seemed to have struggled to keep them all happy and played a rotation policy that led to inconsistency. Hard one to juggle IMO. colinmc
Seags?? He's already been there and failed. Why would they want him back.... Thought he was taking over somewhere else? Seags left because ww were not happy with twaddle and because they were part of a team he left. Never failed won few cups etc... Seags can get the players so should be interesting to see what's going to happen.

They need an overhaul and an influx of quality to compete and by all accounts are losing a lot of influential players this close season.

tamthebam
The Memorial to the Fallen Whitehill Managers is a landmark in the Midlothian village of Rosewell. Some say that on a moonlit night a voice can be heard intoning "another loss to that City shite- you- f*ck off!" Personally I didn't think Whitehill were that terrible tonight- it was really a bit of an end of season game tonight and we won because we're quite good. Still, another one to add to the list of managers sacked after losing to City (there have been quite a few down the years...). Maybe the Welfare should just go back to the old system of having a trainer and the team is picked by the committee because the way they go through managers they'll never get anywhere.. And it's the LL now, guys won't just sign because they like somebody as a guy- if that was the case then all the players that were there before would stay. Although this might still happen. The_Matador
What cups did Seags win? I doubt he won anything, I could be wrong but was he not in charge the season Spartans won everything? Like other poster has said, the squad needs a lot of work and will need to persuade players who were due to leave to stay now. As well as attracting some quality. To do both will require a lot of money to be spent. Shaping up for an interesting LL next season already.

surely not!
He won the east of scotland league cup!! Yeah I knew he won a trophy and was actually only in charge for about half a season. Still think that attracting enough quality players may be an issue. Whitehill are still a big name at LL level but I think some players may see it as too big a job for them next season to compete.
