Sunday fitba?

Friday nights seem to be wetter than most.

A lot of games are called off due to a short heavy downpour, why not give both teams and the ref the power to reschedule 24 hrs later, imagine the crowd at Blair Park today??[/quote

Too sensible to be considered. Saying that I don't think Blair Park would of been playable today as someone flushed their toilet up the scheme last night.

I can't see that ever being a starter, players give up enough spare time without giving up the whole weekend to football, I'm sure the wives, girlfriends and families would be delighted! Mines hated that a saturday was always taken up which also meant no Friday nights out without bringing in the possibility of it over lapping into a Sunday!

The odd Friday night game should be tried out for teams close enough to each other as anyone who has been to a Meadow v Vics game on Marymass Friday is usually a very good crowd. Also means you have both Saturday and Sunday free.

But I'd hate a Sunday game as usually spend time with family, girlfriend or watch football on tv. I'd probably still go but Saturday is far better day for football in my opinion.

I only go and watch games but is there a specific reason why none of the teams are want to play on any of the Sunday's junior cup semis, just thought you may have got a better crowd on that day.

Man Utd v Man City and Hearts v Hibs on tv this Sunday would mean probably a poorer crowd if a Sunday. Don't know what's on next Sunday. You want to accommodate your own supporters first and get as many as them to turn up so Saturday will 9 times out of 10 be the preferred choice for 2 legged semis if between Saturday or Sunday as suits your regular supporters / season ticket holders more in my opinion.

Do any clubs with floodlights actually use them? A Friday night game could work really well if you get the right weather and the right fixture (obviously this couldn't happen in the West region).

Occasionally, yes, as long as both teams are agreeable.
