Cowdenbeath v Dumbarton

Recommended Posts

After confirming safety last night we travel to Cowdenbeath with any sort of pressure well and truly off.

We've won 4 out of our last 5 and I'll be looking for us to continue that good run on Saturday, the cigars may be oot but lets not get complacent.

Would like to see what this lad McCallum has to offer, looks like he bagged another last night for the boays. Thats 5 in 2 for him.

Dumbo, Rovers & Livi next 3 games. We could possibly save our season in a week. This is how crazy a season it has been! Must start with a win against Dumbo. The players have to show the desire to stay in this league starting on Saturday.

If we can't win at home to another part time team with f**k all to play for we may as well pack it in. Livi and, potentially Raith, will both have something to play for - Dumbo have nothing at all. Failure to win is unacceptable and unthinkable.

Failure to win on Saturday will be the final straw for me as I will lose all respect.

Although all the players will know exactly what it means for the club staying up,I would ask Donald to go into the dressing room before kickoff and express his passion for this club in his usual admirable manner.

It really has came down to do or die now Cowden.

I won't be making further comments until post match Saturday and hopefully we will all be celebrating a victory regardless of how we play as all I'm concerned about is taking all three points in any shape or fashion.

I think our players will be up for this. The pressure is now off and having taken ten points from the last 15, confidence is high. I wouldn't be banking on the nothing to play for thing.

Could be an interesting affair. You would expect Cowden to come out and try and take the game to us - something we've become quite good at dealing with in recent weeks.

Our lads have plenty to play for, including contracts for next season and I would expect no let up in our efforts.

And then there's Nish - who was exceptional in the last meeting between the sides at Central.

It's the managers job to motivate the players. Why should Donald Findlay have to go into the dressing room to tell the players how important this game is for the club ?

Hoping to see a lot more passion and commitment from the team on Saturday and an intent to score and not just stifle and frustrate the opposition. If we don't win this then relegation is looming.

Deja vu here. All we got last time was 1 measly point from a wasteful Livi, mostly thanks to Thomson's penalty save.

If we cannot beat Dumbarton, play the development team in the remaining games! At least then we might have some faint chance.

The gap between Dumbarton and Alloa is the biggest between any two teams in the league apart from Hearts - Hibs. However we still need to confirm seventh place as there is a small matter of £9,000 between finishing seventh and eighth. If there are any DFC officials looking in can you print off the 'if we cannae beat Dumbarton we should give up' posts and put them up in the away dressing room wall for Saturday.

Howlin' have you always been a slaver or is this a new thing you've adopted? You could be a politican with the spin you've put on my post as well, excluding half of it to make it fit what you're saying. That's before we even get to the cringeworthy 'put someone's post from P&B on the dressing room wall line'. Imagine if someone actually did that

You have all but confirmed 7th. Even if you lose all your games no one will come close.

Trying to make out like you actually have something to play for is fooling no one. Last season towards the end of the season we beat Raith away, Livi at home and should have defeated Queens at home. All these teams had nothing or little to play for.

Will Dumbarton get awarded with the coveted 'best part time team' trophy at full time if they win? Or will it be awarded at the next home game? Sure all the players families will be there to share the success.
