Smurph
What defines class these days? The upper/middle/working class system is really outdated I feel. The BBC took a different approach to it a few years ago and it seems to reflect society better. Click. I'm an emergent service worker, but I'm a media student who works in a bar, so that figures. Smurf, hmmn, so who are best to define what class you are? 1. the BBC 2. some sociologists 3. some leading universities yeah right, if I was asked what class are they I'd put every one of them in the middle class. So how can they be impartial in this? Please everybody, f**k Smurf's middle class test & just look at who you are, where you are & what you are. Simples. Grim O'Grady
It's Smurph. Sorry (doffs cap) ha ha. so go on answer it from your heart, not the bbc definition, I love the middle class, maybe I am a closet one. Grimbo
D.A.F.C
Why no upper class option? I get inverse snobbery sometimes at work if I buy something from m&s as a treat when it's on offer. Get you with your saaaand whitch whatever that is, oooh la de da. Working class and middle class cause the issues with pettyness. Real upper class people don't give a shit. Probably because they're loaded! Wearing a certain scarf or tie to work to show you went to a certain uni or speaking louder to show off possessions. No class there. Social climbing twats. Addie
what's your definition, Addie? Grimbo I genuinely don't know fella. In the old days it was about the job you did and the income that came from that, but now you get tradesmen that earn more than middle managers etc. For that reason I think the class issue is out the window altogether. So your definition is how much brass you've got in your pocket (or bank account)? Any middle class folk here want to argue that money doesn't buy you class (well out of the working class)?
