Start Date: July 2015 (For 2015/2016 Season) *

Recommended Qualifications: Minimum SFA Levels 1.1 & 1.2 - attained or working towards

*On appointment the coach is welcome to join the coaching staff in the current Under 19’s side for the remainder of the 2014/2015 season, in order to gain knowledge and experience of the club & players (some of whom will remain as Under 19’s players next term). July 2015, when pre-season starts, outside of this.

Dunipace Juniors are seeking an enthusiastic and committed coach to join our youth structure for the 2015/2016 season, specifically at our successful Under 19 level.

At Dunipace the focus of our youth teams is and always will be, above all else, progressing local players towards our First Team. As we continue to work towards that long term goal, on field success is a happy side effect, the team generally always in the mix for silverware along the way.

Although a reasonable balance must be struck between being competitive on the park (in order to attract players) and player development, we are looking for a coach who shares our view that development in the form of progress towards the First Team drives on field success, rather than on field success be the goal. For our youth structure, long term success will be measured by how many players have gone on to play at a good level of adult football, hopefully but not exclusively in our First Team, not by trophies collected along the way.

Ideally we are looking for someone with some coaching experience who has played the game at a good level, though the role will involve working alongside experienced coaches and ex Junior players, so any interested individual with or working towards the minimum level 1.2 coaching qualifications required by the SYFA will be considered. First Aid certification would be a plus, but not required.

This is a permanent (voluntary) position at Under 19 level, the coach remaining with that squad ongoing (beyond next season).

Note wording change in the qualifications section as I hadn't made it clear that we are only seeking the minimum certification required by the SYFA and are willing to consider anyone working towards that goal as well as those who already have it.
