St Mirren v Celtic. Fri 3rd April

Recommended Posts

Our first friday night fixture of the season sends us to Paisley, on a good friday bank holiday no less, while some, myself included will take adavantage of this for a wee alcoholic libation hopefuly it wont result in any arsehole type behaviour like Fir Park last season

As for the game St Mirren are in deep shit, and will come out kicking and fighting, quite literally in Jim Goodwins case to try and get something from this.

Having hit form at the business end of the season we SHOULD win this comfortably but as St Johnstone recently showed, we are very beatable when a few players have an off night.

3-0 Celtic I go for, Griffiths, Brown and Guidetti

Two possible scenarios:

Scenario 1. Routine 0-3 away win, probably sees St Mirren start OK, make chances - and miss them. The old 'got to take your chances when you get them against the likes of Celtic' line is completely appropriate once more. No matter, we are bright, making chances, Celtic are lethargic and we're in the game. Then Celtic score against the run of play and we go in 0-1 down. Still in the game, we push for an equaliser, leave gaps at the back, Celtic have the players to hit us fast on the break, and they do just that, pick us off and add two goals.

Scenario 2. Celtic score in the first two minutes as our defence parts like the Red Sea, we disappear up our own arses and they go on to pump us by five, six, or seven-nil.

There are no other likely outcomes.

Friday night, public holiday, Celtic the opposition.

I can see where this is going....3-0 to Celtic and a five figure bill for the damages to the stand.

I wouldn't be too upset if they manage to knock the whole thing down so we can build a new one, preferably 5 minutes down the road :( .
