dal45
Well done today dalbeattie star for being the first team to defeat the champions in the league this season! And halt city's attempt at being unbeaten all season in the league! Great workmanlike performance. But city deserve to be crowned champions this season, they have quality right through there team, and won the league by a canter. We rode our luck a couple of times today, but fought our corner well and gave them a few scares ourselves. All the best for the rest of the season and the playoffs. Grim O'Grady
They've won it, so course they are going to take it easy from now on, surely Keeping their squad as injury free as possible in prep for the play-offs must be their priority now. I expect they won't win another game until the play-off Grimbo

Eleanor Rigby
Saw city team and they definitely mixed it up from previous weeks. Fair play to dalbeattie but would city have won had they needed to?
mvch
After winning the title, surely the next goal would have been going through the campaign unbeaten so well done to Dalbeattie for being the first team to beat a really good Edinburgh side

Anyone else think going unbeaten all season is more important than promotion in to the SPFL 2? Grimbo

Grimbo Without doubt promotion to spfl2 is more important, however I don't think they would be taking it easy in any games as they have potentially four make or break games and will have to be at the top of there game to get anything out of them. They won't be able to play half arsed for rest of league then go back to playing thre best in play off games, doesn't work like that.also u will have a full squad desperate to play in these games so would imagine everyone will be busting a gut to be in the first 11. It's a nice theory Fowler but I reckon the team's already picked for the play-off barring any injuries. I accept that some of the fringe players will be in the bust a gut category & that we'll see more of them in their team from now on, or brought on in the next 4 games. Any of the players with slight niggles or injuries will be given the time to recover for the play-offs. Course they'll want to keep their players match fit too but even the players themselves will have thoughts on the play-offs & playing in them rather than winning games that don't matter to them. Not quite true Dal pal, I don't recall Ed City winning the League last Season, so you wasn't playing the League Champions, that's next season (if they miss out on promotion) but well done for winning the current League leaders who will be crowned League Champions, unless there's been some underhand shenanigans somewhere down the line.
