Platinum Membership

Div, I got an email yesterday saying that my membership was expiring and that if I wanted to continue, I had to do the usual stuff to pay it but if I didn't, I didn't have to take any action.

However, I got another email this morning saying that it had been completed and I'd paid up for the year. I hadn't intended to carry on but I don't mind that I have at all (it's better than having bloody adverts) so I'm not bothered about changing it now but it might be worth editing the email reminders that come out, maybe giving people the heads up to check whether they've selected auto-update on their membership or something.

Nah I think he'd take off, shouting something about the money just resting in his account, and she'd have to chase him down the street.

Apologies for the various problems with this.

I've gone through all the most recent transactions this morning and manually sorted them all out.

I've patched the subscription manager so hopefully the actual problem will now be resolved.

Let me know if anyone still has issues with their membership status.

Looks like same thing happened to yours fella. Must be some change at the PayPal end. I have manually updated your account.

She could interview Div and he can be all apologetic and offering full refunds - reckon she'd like that and he'd be in there ;)

I haven't made any changes to the subscription system in at least 3 years.

If anyone has had money taken from them for a Platinum renewal that they didn't want to extend please email support [at] pieandbovril.com and we will happily refund you and move your membership back to Gold.

Apologies if this has caused any confusion !

But we can still get the gorgeous Julia to investigate though yes?

I haven't made any changes to the subscription system in at least 3 years.

If anyone has had money taken from them for a Platinum renewal that they didn't want to extend please email support [at] pieandbovril.com and we will happily refund you and move your membership back to Gold.

This happened to me as well. I had inteded to renew anyway as £10 is a small price to not have those fucking adverts but it is a bit misleading to say that if you want to let your subscription expire don't do anything, then when you leave it P&B takes the £10 anyway and renews it :lol:

Bump. Received my reminder email today. It would be really useful if, as Mrs M said, the email mentioned that you had agreed to auto-update.
