telkop7
Painful to watch brilliant watching them again, thoroughly deserved win for the glens, every player raised their game, special mention for j.c, neil and mcguire, although pollok maybe not at their best, or maybe thought they just had to turn up to win! glensmad
Thank you to Davie and Gerry, looking forward to the full highlights. Just about to start on the match report. :-)
Southcroft
I thought that Brian Welsh (despite looking almost as old as me) had an absolute stormer today. The new 4-2-3-1 system worked a treat too. Has Willie been talking to Ronnie Deila?

rutherglen glencairn
Coupon buster , best team won pollok pish but they will dust themselves down And win league and maybe a cup , can glens keep that level of performance up , Pollok were poor because they were tactically outplayed. They weren't allowed to play the football that has won them every game they have played at Newlandsfield this season. Funny how when a big team gets beat it's always because they played pish, and nothing to do with the efforts of their opponents.
auldgeezer
Well done to Glencairn but Pollok keeper has to have stronger hands to the first shot and short passback (considering the conditions) for the second. All that though, still think if you press and harry Pollok's defence you've always got a chance.
diamond_for_life
To be fair I wouldn't say Pollok were tactically outclassed they had the better chances throughout the game with the glen's keeper pulling of some great saves. A cracking hard fought win for Rutherglen but Pollok had more than enough chances to get something out the game.

lokforever
A ggod report as always by Peter, except in the incident just before half time t wasn't a dive, the ref gave a foul against McCann (not MacKenzie) and it was for a foul on glens no10. Fair enough, I was at the other end of the park and all I saw was a lot of players coming together, so I thought he'd given it for a dive. As always I call it as I saw it, but I didn't have a good view of that incident.

I thought it was a penalty from where I was but also think the first goal was onside but I'm sure many will disagree

I thought it was a penalty from where I was but also think the first goal was onside but I'm sure many will disagree The first goal was definitely onside, the video proves that. McLennan is on the 18-yard line when Esplin plays the pass and McLaughlin, although ahead of the two defenders closest to him, hasn't reached the 18-yard line yet. At the time we all thought it was offside but we weren't complaining. Having seen the video it was a great call by the linesman.
