Bert Raccoon
I was surprised at how much it was for a ticket. Aye it was expensive, especially for a gig at the Academy.
diamonds2002
Flurries are one of the few bands I would actually bother going to see now so don't begrudge the extra cash
placidcasual
Yeah, to be fair I'd probably have happily paid double.

Bert Raccoon
One of the most underrated bands ever. Perhaps lumped in with the other Britpop bands, they are nothing like them. A band that can cover numerous genres on every album and a band that are always moving forward. Even if it's just for one tour, I'm glad to have them back. I'm hoping that they'll do this tour then write a new album over the summer.

placidcasual
Just watched the documentary on the iplayer to get me in the mood for next week. Caught this, was decent enough. Not sure why an S4C program was on BBC though. I saw the setlist for their warm-up gig they played. This will be absolutely immense.

It was produced by Gruff Rhys production company Brilliant last night - highlights for me were hello sunshine (not one of my favourites usually) and Arnofio/Glow in the dark. 50/50 Winner
What a fecking great gig, well worth the money. I managed to get a set list so I'm going back home a happy man. SFA OK!
placidcasual
Yeah, that was dynamite. I'm feeling it this morning, far too old for jumping about down the front like a mad-man. The pick of the bunch for me was Slow Life and the stuff of Mwng they done near the beginning.
Bert Raccoon
That was excellent from start to finish. Highlights for me were Slow Life and Zoom, just so good seeing them back and on top form.
50/50 Winner
I managed to get to the barrier and got some great pictures. I'm feeling rough today, far too much JD, just leaving Glasgow on the bus and I hope my stomach can handle the 2 hour journey. For those interested, here's what they played last night - Touch Sensitive Rings Around The World Do or Die Ice Hockey Hair Demons Northern Lights Ymaelodi Ar Ymylon Y Gwyneb Iau Nythod Cacwn Pan Ddaw'r Wawr Run Christian Run Hello Sunshine Hometown Unicorn Zoom Arnofio/Glo In The Dark God Show Me Magic Gwreiddiau Dwfn Slow Life Juxtaposed International Language Golden Retriever Receptacle For The Respectable Fire In My Heart Mountain People MDGF
Fuctifano
Yeah, thought that was pretty damn good, although not sure playing 4 in a row from Mwng was what a lot of the crowd was after. I'm sure that's the first time I've heard them play Arnofio/Glo In The Dark live so that was probably my personal highlight. From Slow Life onwards (not really an encore as such) was just brilliant. If it had been at the Barrowlands on a Friday or Saturday it would have been 10/10 stuff.

I did hear someone shout "play something we all know" halfway through the four songs.ETA - I'm a bit disappointed they didn't play Ysbeidiau Heulog or Dacw Hi from MWNG.
