NorthernLights Posted March 2, 2015 Share Posted March 2, 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31702679 Hopefully the SFA response is something like: "Dear FA, For the last time - f**k off. Sincerely yours, The SFA" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
San Starko Rover Posted March 2, 2015 Share Posted March 2, 2015 Christ here we go again anything to get Bale in their team, how desperate are they to win something? No one gives a shit about Olympic football so shove your team GB up your arse Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
1320Lichtie Posted March 2, 2015 Share Posted March 2, 2015 It really is all about Bale. Not one single other player not from England would get in it. Maybe Gauld and Robertson at a push seeing as it's under 23s. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lex Posted March 2, 2015 Share Posted March 2, 2015 There's no way Bale would play in a mickey mouse team like ' Team GB '. Not until he's the age Ryan Giggs was when he played in it anyway. Same debate and same outcome as last time I'd imagine. Send a team full of English youngsters with the odd washed up pro here and there. Then watch them get papped out by the first half decent side they face. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Elixir Posted March 2, 2015 Share Posted March 2, 2015 The Football Association is planning to enter men's and women's Great Britain teams into the Rio 2016 Olympics.It has written to the Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh associations to inform them - and ask if they would like to take part. Since when did the English FA decide these matters on behalf of the British Olympic Association? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards, you were allowed three overage players. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

~~~ Posted March 3, 2015 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Since when did the English FA decide these matters on behalf of the British Olympic Association? Wouldn't be surprised if the UK Government encouraged them, all part of the process of stamping its British nationality on us. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mizfit Posted March 3, 2015 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Didn't we agree to this last time before we were completely ignored? I say don't do it, if it happens on a regular basis then FIFA may try and push it through on a permanent basis, I don't want to support a team GB. 1320Lichtie Posted March 3, 2015 Share Posted March 3, 2015 I don't want to support a team GB. It'll never ever come to that thankfully. The English wouldn't want it either. Neither would the Welsh or Northern Irish. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Just randomly pick the 5th or 6th choice English keeper then? Can't see any team being happy for their players to miss the best part of august - leagues starting, CL qualifiers etc to fly hand way across the world for a diddy competition.
