They struggling for players? Just as there are a few trialists on the team sheet

O'Conner and Buchanan were away. Gary Russel injured, Conner Simpson and Sam Nimmo unavailable. Kerr was also struggling with an injury

Loyalty?????

Is there any loyalty in the game now with Junior players?

The notion is that players even in the District League are on good money. You would expect players to show loyalty to their clubs but nowadays they are only interested in themselves with no loyalty to their club!!!!!

I know that Whitletts Vics last season and this season have rewarded their players week in terms of signing on fees/ weekly wages well in their quest to get promoted.

So that's where players should be loyal at least for the season but recently a present Whitletts player has along with one of his ex managers met with another District league club with a view to take over at the club for next season. You might say okay it's for next season but is it right?

Has he informed his manager or Whitletts? He would probably be speaking to some of his present team mates with a view to take him to the other club.

This story is common knowledge in the area where they met the club.

So it shows that sometimes money can't buy loyalty with some players.

Common knowledge you claim, so why haven't you actually named the parties involved and filled us all in now that you've got our attention?

I gather it is a forward/midfield player who was with his ex manager but the job at the moment has fell through as the junior team have appointed someone else since they met the club.

Still it is not right and questions his commitment to the club but then again he will be picking up a nice weekly wage from Whitletts.

No it's not made up I can assure you. The player was along with his ex manager talking to the club to take over next season but after they met the club the junior team appointed a manager last week.

Did Whitletts know? I doubt it.
