Who seen that coming, I wonder?? good job the new parks not far away now eh!
RobRoyGuy
Every pitch is struggling! No game has been played on it for two months, that's the weather not being constantly used. What will you go on about when we have a new stadium, sure you will think of something. Oh how's that big boiler doing?
glensmad
Moving the Cumbernauld v Largs game to Largs is a sensible decision as it ensures the match goes ahead, and also ensures that Guy's Meadow has another week to recover from the weather. It may well have been playable for this weekend, but this way both teams know for sure that their game will be on this weekend, and Guy's Meadow will be playable for whenever the reverse fixture is scheduled. I have a lot of sympathy for Rob Roy in their current circumstances, not being in control of their own home ground is a difficult situation that we remember only too well from the 18 months that we were out of Southcroft before our new ground opened. We were fortunate that we had a few venues to use, with Cambuslang, Vale of Clyde, Blantyre and Shettleston all opening their doors to us over that period, with Cambuslang hosting the bulk of the matches. That way meant that there were always options for us for a venue, and the help of these local rivals at a difficult time for our club was something that we will always be grateful for. I'm sorry but Rob roy saga has been long drawn out and they sold out took the cash and have made an arse of it!! Then come pleading that they haven't got a lot of money to throw about and then expect to roll over and get their belly tickled and a park to play on for buttons!! I'm afraid they don't know where the wise money should have been spent.
auldgeezer
Poor old deluded Rob RoyGuy. IF you ever get your new stadium/park. Taking long enough! Oh, and our boiler is fine...at least we've got our own.

Oh, and our boiler is fine...at least we've got our own.Good things come to those who wait! Nice new 10k boiler for you then i take it. On the Cumbernauld pitch, if it was a bowling green after our last match in early December it would still be unplayable Now because of the weather. Good set up at Cumbernauld , grateful to them for letting up use there facilities.

RobRoyGuy
They were very cooperative by all accounts and no at it looking for a stupid amount of money, junior football for f**k sake, if my club asked for that from a local football team i would be affronted. Only Plus side to playing at the stadion De Duncansfield would have been i can't remember the last time we lost there !
ddfg
There's only one boiler on this forum, as a matter of interest what is the minimum number of games which are still requiring to be played at Guys Meadow this season not accounting for cup ties? RobRoyGuy
Of course i am the only one on here who gives a bit. Get a grip it's a football forum shite is going to get chucked about (metaphorically speaking) . If your that interested how many games are to go go to sjfa website and then club page and count it all up. A fair few games have been played on it so far, we are out the west and got away games scheduled in the Scottish if we get through a round or two. Already played Cumbernauld twice on it. Junior football indeed, and if your committee has adhered to such budgeting in the Jimmy Lyndsey days instead of throwing money at him in wages (excess of £10000 for just the managers and assistants wages) you could have indeed afforded Stadi Duncansfield) Out of interest how much Is too much? Quite sad a member of your committee has obviously passed you a scrap of info and one which you now use to try and ridicule Kilsyth. The joke I'm afraid is firmly on you. Your going nowhere fast and should cumbernauld be reluctant to go with you's again next season then where do you go from there. You obviously can't afford the rent at kilsyth. Where is all the money?? Surly over a million pounds for the sale of car park and now the pitch ?
RobRoyGuy
You really haven't got a clue what you are talking about. It's comical. Let's See how it all pans out! More than confident the Roy will be once again in the premier league with a new stadium sooner rather than later.

Jimmy Lyndsey, Derek Fry and the gang took a fortune out out of Rob Roy. Take your head out your arse. Now how much is too much?
glensmad
Both Cumbernauld and Rob Roy have 7 home league games to play, so that's the equivalent of more than a full season of home league games for one team in this league still to be played at Guy's Meadow. RobRoyGuy
Oh i am aware of what was spent. What you were asking for was far to much, and the committee were not willing to pay what you asked, we got a better deal at Cumbernauld and better facilities in my opinion. Not a dig as i always enjoy going to Duncansfield. As for us going nowhere fast , on and off the park we will be just fine . As a club on the park we are in decent shape. New young manager, good group of players youth and experience, doing well in the league chance of promotion. Club have set up juvenile team girls team , youth teams. New stadium with good facilities in a more central part of town. Yeah it's dragged on, sometimes these things do, something got to grin and bear as it will secure the clubs future. You may think i can't stand kilsyth but i actually like to see them doing well just not as well as us. I wind kilsyth fans up they wind me up on here , I can't stand your posts you can't stand mine doesn't mean i have a intense dislike for kilsyth. If Cumbernauld isn't available we will have to find somewhere else and we will that you can be sure of.
meiklebin
Rob Roy guy should get his facts right before posting details regarding their request to ground share at Kilsyth and ask his committee of the figure quoted to Kilsyth regarding the same. If he knew the weekly figure quoted by the Rob Roy committee then I think that he should not be too quick to post on things he is unaware of
