World Famous Dundee United v Celtic, LC Final 15th March

United face Celtic in the final after the teams beat Aberdeen (2-1) and The Rangers (some score, currently 2-0) respectively.

The huge worry for United / boon for Celtic is the suspension of star striker Nadir 'Big Nads' Ciftci, so there's a lot of pressure on Henri Anier and/or Super Mario Bilate to get up to speed by the final.

I'll plump for 2-2 at full time, United nicking a winner in extra time courtesy of a Paul Paton screamer.

Without Ciftci I can't see us having a chance. . He may be moody and disinterested at times but he offers so much up front.

This.

Plus, Celtic could buy Armstrong/GMS now just to truly fcuk us over!

Just recall Brian Graham.

I'd rather pay Sevco to get Jon Daly back for this game.

They might as well have just handed Celtic the League cup today and saved us the bother of the inevitable let down of the final. We all know the story with this fixture. Having beaten Celtic in December we aren't due another win against them for at least another two years. It'll most likely be a humping by Celtic and even if it's one of those rare occasions where we do play well against them we'll still keech our breeks and end up handing them the cup.

The fact we don't even have Nadir only serves to further my pessimism going into this. I reckon it'll be 3-1 Celtic with Griffiths getting a hat trick and Dundee fans celebrating that as if they'd won a major trophy.

I'd be ridiculously pleased if we held on to Armstrong and GMS this window and we win 2-0 with both of them scoring though.

I'm sure it will be interpreted that way, particularly by the feeble minded.

.

Most Arabs are honest enough to admit that we'll always be the underdog in games against Celtic. Take out our top scorer and that's only going to make our task much more difficult.

You're bound to beat Celtic in a final eventually (after all, you've had plenty of practice), so why not this one.

You've lost your last 4 league cup finals, your luck has to change.

Ciftci, GMS and Armstrong are our three best players and the only three likely to be able to compete with Celtic.

Without Ciftci we've got very little chance. Without all three we'd have nae chance. These aren't excuses just a realistic assessment of our chances. If we keep GMS and Armstrong and both are on fire and either Bilate or Anier start contributing then we've got a small chance but anyone familiar with our record against Celtic, particularly in Glasgow, will appreciate that we would still be massive underdogs.

@bbcjimspence: bid of less than 150k rejected by @dundeeunitedfc for GMS to @celticfc and bid of less than 1.6 Million rejected for Stuart Armstrong

Celtic already trying to buy the final. United would be struggling without Ciftci/Armstrong and GMS..
