Gormley been used by Talbot when it suits them. He should leave,Soon as Tucker gets his 1st choice strikers in or fit he.ll be out the picture again...Just saying

If interested parties were as keen on securing the services of the boy as we were led to believe, they would have been more decisive in their negotiations with his current employers leaving no room for ambiguity. As it stands,Gormley looked anything but a want away player, and for a lad that hasn't had a lot of game time, was a stand out in a game that was pretty much over as a contest after fifteen minutes. His controlling touch in the run up to his assist for the fourth goal was bewildering, not that his assist for Spence's goal was in any way ordinary. He even had a cheeky attempt from about half way which the Port Glasgow goalie did well to keep out. Man of the match by a mile.

A wee bit unfair on James Latta, you could ask any Talbot supporter who their most driven and committed player over the last eight or ten years was and a huge percentage of them would name James first. He played in three different positions on Saturday, covering at times for an early injury to the sweeper Lyle from right mid,and ultimately moving to right back in a rearranged defence when Lyle was subbed. Most of the free kicks he was awarded, were all in the right centre of the pitch, frequently from tackles that were late enough to feature in the warm down. He is without doubt Auchinleck Talbot captain material, and was the natural replacement for Gavin Collins when he moved on.

Bad players don't spend ten years at a highly successful club like Auchinleck Talbot 4 Scottish cup winners medals 3 league titles and a host of other winners medals tells you James Latta has been a huge part of Tucker Sloan's Talbot team.

You do realise he was moved from midfield into defence because our right-back was taken off injured, don't you?

Edit to say - I should have read androbot's post first. He put it far more eloquently than I coukd.
