Players moving up the grades

I've not been to watch a match in this league yet. I am quite keen on watching how the league develops and I'm a big fan of the pyramid scheme. What are the chances of players moving on up? Better chance here than junior grade? And have any taken the step already?

The leagues are littered with ex-Lowland & EOS players.

George Hunter from our U20's has just signed a 2 year deal with St Johnstone. He joins a long line of players from us to make the step up. I'm sure the boys of the other teams will back me up with their lads that have moved up.

The lowland league is a cracking league and there are some great players in all the teams imo and i can't see why some players cant step up a grade or two, take in some matches you will really enjoy the level of football on offer and i see today that a young Spartans player has signed for st.Johnstone well done to him and the Spartans coaching team got to be good for the LL

There is of course always the chance that a whole set of players move up at the end of each season. Would be interesting to see what the signing strategy would be of any team that gets promoted- go for tried and trusted spfl guys or try to get the best players from te LL?

From an edinburgh city / spartans perspective they would probably have lots to choose from . Plenty edinburgh guys travelling silly distances to play for Arbroath , east fife , Forfar and Berwick . Say either side offered them a little less to play for a team on their doorstep in the same decision. I would imagine the best players in the lowland would be open to move to them too .

Mark Whatley signed for Arbroath from Spartans in the summer, by all accounts he's has performed really well and one of best players in League 1. Talk of a further move to SPL side aswell

Arbroath are in league 2 so how can he be one of the best players in league 1?
