ROSS-THISTLE-76 Posted January 11, 2015 Share Posted January 11, 2015 Yip it is always a bit colder at petershill. But yesterday was rain, sleet, snow, sunshine all rolled into a goal fest of game. Felt for st. roch's as they put plenty into this derby match. They had plenty chances but took none in the first half. We slackened off in the 2nd and got punished for it. Could have been a totally different result if they had taken their chances. But we have a lethal strike force & usually a very mean defence. Had only conceded 6 goals in 10 games. Getting close to the run in now & those three places could be taken by any of the 5 at the top. My calculations say that 4 more wins & the vale are promoted & could be less if the others cut each other up along the way. But far too early to talk about that just now. Main aim is to concentrate on this coming saturday with the 4th round of the scottish cup vs musselburgh athletic. Will be a tough one for our young team. The coaches have created a good squad that will work hard for each other and enjoy their beer together after the game also. A Great team spirit has been grown at the club just now.
