Wee jimmy
Seem to recall Carluke game being called off after the kick off last season, due to the wind. If I mind right it was Carluke v benburb that got called off bout 20 mins in for strong winds.
Kilbowie's Finest
Irvine Meadow v Clydebank was called off last season due to high winds. Last December I think. Yeah remember that well Shannon - we were in the pub round the corner from the ground watching Man City v Arsenal when we heard it was off - gutted - had to stay in the pub all afternoon !!! Loughal
Yes there is provision for Referee's to call games off if it's too windy. Comes back to me that the biggest upset in years when Inverness put Celtic out the Scottish the first scheduled date was postponed due to gale force winds. It was called Celtic's Berwick
Wile E Coyote
Talbot V Pollok was abandoned after about 20 minutes last season due to high winds
Bestjuniorfan
I think it is the correct decision is games do not go ahead if high winds because the game becomes a lottery to see who wins. i would much prefer to play in the pissin rain and cold rather than the wind if just makes the game rubbish but that's my opinion. Ardenvohr6
Simple: if the ball does not remain in place to allow a dead ball kick to take place, it should not continue. Otherwise how can play continue?
macintosh
Gives an idea as to what you can expect come match time, we are forecast a variable (23mph) at Kelty v Cuikie, though the wind feels stronger in our area atm. http://gyre.umeoce.maine.edu/data/gomoos/buoy/php/variable_description.php?variable=wind_2_speed
