glasgae junior
I went along to watch city and after seeing their training sessions over christmas and the tempo they played at , I was vindicated in my views city looked sharp and made preston look feeble city after being 4 nil up straight from preston,s kick off , pressed to win the ball up back, very energetic, patience in possession and width to their game defensively I thought preston played into their hands , as they played long balls after long balls and city cleared it time after time, city were tactical sound, the made the pitch small when they lost possession but that was not a lot of times , they dominated from start to finish Gretna might as still beat city but from what i saw tonight , i cant see CITY dropping points for any team to catch them. standout players for city -dougie gair -nico Gibson -shaun Harrison -fraser Paterson -Jordan caddow all the best to city in their quest to reach SPFL, credit to the lowland league. happy gilmore
I said after about 5 games into the season that city looked strong and the league doesn't lie it will be mathematically over by mid february which is good going considering how competitive the league is

HibeeJibee
You'd think the weather should be OK by late March, but who knows . Doesn't affect Gretna but according to LL website the games on April 4th are subject to the South Challenge Cup SFs. Says games would go to the following Wednesday, except the Vale game (to the following Monday). It's an interesting race for 2nd, with its Scottish Cup R2 slot. Conceivably any 1 of 7 teams. scrooge1928
No, the referee called the game off. If we thought the match wasn't going to be on I wouldn't have been left with a big bag of programmes in the corner of my bedroom.
Cicero
No, the referee called the game off. If we thought the match wasn't going to be on I wouldn't have been left with a big bag of programmes in the corner of my bedroom. I don't think anybody would mind if they are issued on the 28th March as long as there is an insert with updates in it. I had prepared most of our Selkirk programme but I asked the printer for an extension in the submission time as I was not convinced the game would go ahead It turns out that I had judged it correctly. The good thing is that most of it can be used again for the re-arranged game.
tamthebam
scrooge is a perfectionist- he will do a new programme.... ...plus that pile of unsold programmes can be flogged for megabucks in the near future after City have lifted the Champions League for the 5th time........ makemgeordie
doodle - sorry but I didn't say it was Gretna's fault , just expressed that I had a wasted journey , But I will say the Gretna fixture site is poor when it comes to fixture updates - YES I have mentioned this before to the powers that be . as of 12.30pm today 17th Feb 2015 no Edinburgh City game on 28th March 2015 noted on Gretna's fixture list. I travel from Newcastle to Edinburgh to watch Gretna play. I was at Spartans last week to see the 2-1 defeat and the sooner I see a fixture date that has been re arranged I book the train as normally get a good return deal. Any Gretna home games I want to attend I just drive over. again cheers Hibeejibee for the updates.

However it does appear that he has missed the City game on the 28th. He has every other one on it. We can all make the occasional slip. If you do notice anything else in the future just email James directly on the contacts page. He doesn't read P&B and if he doesn't know about the problem it won't get changed until he does. I have sent him an email now.
makemgeordie
no problem Cicero. I asked Craig at the Spartans game and he hadn't any info as to Ed City re arranged date. but seems my opinion must have ruffled a few feathers - never mind back to me pigeons. HibeeJibee
Full league card today, albeit BSCG once again waterlogged. Edinburgh City won, and the next few teams below them all lost or drew. City are now on 50pts. Maximums the teams below them can reach are: Gretna - 54pts EK - 54pts Spartans - 51pts Stirling - 52pts Whitehill - 57pts
