Royal Rumble 2015

Probably my fav ppv of the year despite normally being let down.

Is it a standard 30 man rumble?

I can't really see past Reigns winning this and sadly it's almost as predictable as Batista was last year. I'm not against Reigns winning it as I think he is alright but I wish we were going into the rumble with a whole handful of potential winners. The only other potential winner I could see would be a returning Bryan but I believe he is a long way off returning.

I hope and expect Ziggler and Ambrose to both have really good showings and one of them will be the Iron Man. As much as I would love one of them to win, no chance will either be headlining Mania.

Are there any surprises/cameos you would like to see?

Aye, it's back to a 30 man now.

Reigns does indeed seem to be the favourite and it's hard to see past him as the winner. He, Rollins, Ambrose and Ziggler have to be given strong showings.

I know it's in Philidelphia, but i hope they don't have any ECW folk as surprise entrants. Just leave that shit be. I'm sure there will be a couple of surprise entrants, but can't see who.

Cena vs Lesnar part 80000 is also on the card, but I truly don't care about that, save for I want Lesnar to win. Can't be doing with Cena headlining another Mania.

Roman Reigns will probably win it.

And Kofi Kingston will once again make a mockery of the match by jumping from the announcers table back onto the apron or something like that.

The legends who take part are the highlight of the Royal Rumble for me these days, even though it's inevitable they'll get thrown out.

I think I posted this elsewhere but my ideal scenario would be:

Royal Rumble

  • Roman Reigns wins Rumble,
  • Cena defeats Lesnar due to Undertaker returning and destroying Brock
  • Rollins cashes in and becomes WWE champion

Elimination Chamber

  • Comes down to Ambrose vs Rollins. Ambrose almost wins but is totally screwed over so Seth retains
  • Cena and Rusev both in the chamber and start feuding with each other
  • Sting makes an appearance but the lights go out and is attacked by Wyatt

Road to Wrestlemania

  • Wyatt and Sting cut some bad ass promos on each other leading to a match at Mania
  • Taker vs Lesnar Part 2 is announced
  • Cena is desperate to face Rusev at Mania but he refuses to fight him and is running scared.
  • The only way Cena can face Rusev at Mania is to bring back The Authority to make the match official. HHH comes back but on one condition, that he gets to face the man that put out Team Authority out of business - Dolph Ziggler. Cena agrees but only if HH does what is best for business and puts Ambrose in the main event as he was screwed by Rollins. HHH agrees

Wrestlemania

  • Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose - WWE Championship
  • Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar
  • Sting vs Bray Wyatt
  • Dolph Ziggler vs HHH
  • John Cena vs Rusev

At Raw next, both Sting and Taker have a stare down in the ring (having both won previous night) and its announced that they face each other at Mania 32 in both of their Retirement matches.

At Wrestlemania 32 Sting and Taker have a gruelling battle (their retirement match is main event) before John Cena interferes and destroys both of them thus ending the match in a draw so neither Taker or Sting win and John Cena finally turns full on heel. The heat he would get for fcuking up their last ever match would be incredible

Elimination Chamber has been moved to later in the year.

I don't know if this is true but I've heard that they're scrapping the elimination ppv. Personally I'd have the elimination chamber wwe world heavyweight title match at Survivor Series. February's ppv will be called fast lane

You have far too much time on your hands. Certainly will be more exciting with that script, than what we will no doubt get.

I'm going to say this every year until it happens. I want The Hurricane to show up. If I heard "STAND BACK THERE'S A HURRICANE COMING THROUGH" I'd be marking out so hard I'd miss the rest of the Rumble :thumsup2.

Me too! Always been a big Hurricane fan. His feud with The Rock is one of my favourites.

He's also responsible for one of the finest moments in Rumble history. Think it was 2002. It's when he grabs Austin and HHH by the throat as if he's about to chokeslam them both at the same time, only for them both to turn to each other with a 'what the f**k?' look before leathering poor Hurricane.

The Rumble is ace. It also marks the starr of the run in to Mania and usually storylines are far more interesting and the 'product' in general better as writers actually put a bit of effort in to it. There's also a buzz about it all as folk start getting drawn back in and start enjoying it more. Of course all of that will rapidly evaporate when they go back to the usual shit again but the cycle repeats every year.

Fast Lane is a fucking terrible name for a PPV.

Oh, and I love a Rumble. It's such a hard match to get wrong. Even the worst examples tend to be interesting at the very least.

Got to agree there, dude. I would have kept the ec and possibly unified us and ic titles or have a triple threat main event at wm with the second guy going through the chamber. With the Rumble being in Pennsylvania It would have been nice if they kept it at 40 and put some of the ecw originals in the mix with a legend actually winning it (maybe Piper or someone)

Last year's rumble, DA Baracus, myself and a couple of others sat down to watch the event. After some beers had been consumed, I thought it would be a brilliant idea if we all made lists of which order we thought the participants would enter and who would win. Imagine my disappointment when Chris Benoit didn't enter 6th!

Piper to win the rumble! Hope I'm being whooshed here

I hope so as well. The idea of any legend of that ilk winning it would be vile.

As for ECW legends... wouldn't be bad if it were a couple of them and not much else. But it's back down to a 30 man. I'd rather those spaces were used for folk who were still half decent.
