Albino Rover
A seasonal act of generosity and fighting statement of intent from the Vers BoD, posted on the messageboard: I know it is not our next away game but just to let our supporters know that the club will pay for the supporters bus to the vital away game at Arbroath on Saturday 10 January as a way of not only recognising the importance of that game to our hopes of winning the league but also to show the club's appreciation of the magnificent support from fans both home and away. Also if there is demand for a second bus that will be paid for by the directors.Ronnie Boyd Wonderful stuff from the gentlemen at the top at Cliftonhill. I'll happily take them up on the offer, and I'm sure I'm not the only Rovers fan very much looking forward to this game already. I don't fault the financial planning- Messrs Gilooly and Savage have done their sums and the Rovers shop should do very well out of the hats and gloves sales in the next month. 1320Lichtie
haha Gayfield. Still laugh thinking about the young drunk East Fife fan 4/5 years ago standing infront of everybody in the home end saying this before then singing 'pink stand gayboysss, pink stand gayboysss' Good gesture by AR. Hopefully we have opened up a big gap by then

Seasonal goodwill and all that. If they're as commercially astute as you suggest then you're in safe hands. Win-win for club and fans. Not many can say that. Albino Rover
In the process of beating Arbroath in this game, we'll tire them out for 3rd-place QP to beat them the following week, extending our lead, practically making us champions-elect with 15 games to go, cueing 1320Lichtie to start an "It's All Over" thread, and leaving the minnows below us to fight it out for 2nd. Albino Rover
That's that sorted then, I'll get my bus to Gayfield courtesy of ARFC then change into an Arbroath Academy uniform and enjoy the free hospitality from the hosts.

My cousin had one of those in the 80s. You had to post the brakes a letter before they would come on, cue lots of prayers at junctions.
cliftonphil
Massive game this for both clubs. Pray for dry, settled conditions. No wind or rain please big man. A draw would be a decent days work for Rovers. Objective has to be to maintain pressure on the Smokies and ensure they don't stretch their lead. Aye and then loaning him back to us, the £50,000 is probably a better Christmas present for us tbh.
