Your teams commercial activities and club shop

Hi all

Just doing a quick gauge amongst fans - especially of lower league clubs - to see how you rate your teams commercial activities and how they engage with the local business community....good or bad. Also, do you have club shops etc, and if so, can you post a link online please?

Any help or views appreciated.

Cheers

Sancho Panza does all our commercial activities & does a brilliant job.

From replica strips to scarves ,hats , fridge magnets, t shirts & club calendars. He even organised a 3rd strip just for the fans which is selling well

Went & organised a club quilt cover & pillow set from the company he uses & by the response this might be the next big thing

We could improve, shirts can be ordered via the sports shop in Cumnock and always plenty of scarfs for sale at the ground. Ive had ideas like car stickers for example but most of the companies I've found have minimum runs of like 500 etc but it's a lot of money up front with not the quickest return.

Agree re. the minimum orders. Think a company which can accommodate smaller runs allied to reasonable prices and good quality would do extremely well. Just can't find one !

Theesel are selling merchandise including strips (£35/30), polo shirts (£17), hoodies (£20), retro scarves and flags and fridge magnets (a wide range, big and small!) - early days though.

Merchandising will increasingly become a major role of income I believe... in the next few years.

If you get a good run in the Scottish its well worthwhile if not don't kid yourself on the return will be peanuts for the effort.

A cup run can generate a lot of sales ... our 2009 final appearance led to £000's a replica and other merchandise sales on the back of that alone ... the shop does a few £000 on an average year anyroad. it depends on having a good range or reasonable quality branded items that are affordable. Can be a big earner
