Northfield 53
Yet another hard game. If we can get a draw then that would be a great result. Hope we go back to 4-4-2 and have a go at Rangers not sit back and let them play. Baird and Reilly up top with Carmichael back in the team. Friday night and live T.V. will affect the attendence. Don't, think Rangers will bring as many as Hearts so can,t see us get over 5000.
Dr_Doonhamer
We need to play 442, we've nothing to fear against them. There defence is rotten and our pace upfront could do them real bother.
palmy_cammy
Comfortable home win I suspect. Probably 3-0.

Think Rangers have a system where fans are allocated their allocation on a ballot so they will sell out whether they turn up or not.As said hope we have a real go they are vulnerable. Hopefully make 5000 plus.
Sloop John B
There is always the fear that Rangers will click considering how good a team they have and the second half at Ibrox is in the mind. Without McLeod they lack one of their few dynamic players, fortunately McCoist also doesn't rate Templeton as well. At home we have a great chance but Rangers will probably play shit and win 2-1 with a crap goal from a corner and a dodgy penalty.

the_vortex
Here's hoping we get a crowd of over 5,000 for this one & hope the Dumfries public embrace Friday night football . Despite not playing that well at the moment Rangers will bring a big support down . How did ticket sales go today ?

thepundit
Not 100% confident going into this match. QotS took the lead twice at Ibrox in the last game before Rangers easily brushed them aside 4-2 so Rangers are going to have to play well if they want to win. If you want a proper 80s style training montage, this is the best one. It also highlights the contrast in facilities between us and them.

I meant to post this the points kinda the same though .Imagine Lee McCulloch as Ivan Drago and Rocky training with Russian farmers like the plucky underdogs as us. Chance are, having watched their game against Hearts, Rangers will take inspiration from the Rocky franchise and put itinto their game

Rjc-1988
Lets not kid ourselves if we are to beat Rangers we will need to be at our best and hope that we get a fair rub of the green. Discipline will be absolutely key - we need to be SENSIBLY COMPETITIVE -lets not give these overly officious referees an excuse to flash the dreaded red card. Of course we need to compete but that doesn't mean diving in recklessly for lost causes. We also need to avoid conceding free kicks in dangerous positions. Rangers have a massive threat from dead balls much more than from open play so I sincerely hope we don't do what we did last year in Challenge Cup. From memory all goals came from route 1 and were avoidable. As others have said we are at home on a surface that suits our style of play - time for us to get a big result but under no illusions it will be very tough and we will need to pick the right team and be at our best.
