The Albert completed the double over Forth in conditions that can only be described as F-----n Diabolical with non stop rain and icy cold.

The game was only a couple of minutes old when the Albert created a great chance when Saaf played Alan Campbell in on the goalie but he tried to go round the keeper but only ran the ball out for a corner.

Minutes later Forth scored when the Albert gave the ball away in the middle of the park and a through ball put in the Forth centre who scored.

The Albert continued to press but without testing the Forth keeper but after 25mins they equalised when after some neat passes Scott McLachlan played in a perfect cross for Alan Campbell to score from 6yds.

Both teams had the ball in the net but both were ruled out for offside right decision on both counts.

Shots from Saaf and David Hamilton went close but the scores were even at half time.

The second half started with the Albert on the attack but it was Forth who got a golden chance to go in front when they were awarded a penalty for tackle by Davie Hamilton was deemed a foul by the referee, Craig Smith in the Albert goal saved the penalty to keep the scores even.

2 min later the Albert were awarded a free kick on the edge of the Forth box Barry Murdoch and fired an unstoppable shot into the corner of the net.

The Albert continued to press and could have scored but Alan Campbell missed a header at the back post. The game became a bit scrappy until with ten mins to go when Forth were reduced to ten men when Jim Dick was sent off.

But credit to Forth this seemed to spur them on and nearly scored with the last kick off the game but headed wide.

A welcome three points for the Albert.

Man of the Match for me was the brave souls who watched the game.

Despite what I jokingly said yesterday can't disagree with what you say other than some of the timings!

Although think you should give your team more credit for their attacking prowess in the first half.

Our coach Jamie Nesbitt spoke to your manager on Saturday night and he told us his injuries.

Dont know if it's good news or not these type of injuries can take a long time to heel, can sometimes leave a weakness. Hope not ope he is fit for next season.
