James Keatings?

Recommended Posts

Hows he getting on in the championship? I see he's getting in amongst the goals.

He was another youngster with potential at Celtic who ended up getting an injury just when it looked like he was breaking through.

Good to see he's bucked the trend of former youth strikers scoring for fun in development sides (Prunty, Lynch etc) but amounting to little after.

Is he ready for the step up to the SPL?

Bucking the trend by shitehousing out of the top league and staying in his comfort zone?

I must admit I did wonder why he turned down a new deal at Hamilton, however hes at Hearts for at least another season so should be playing top league next year.

Moving to Hearts from Hamilton is a massive step up in terms of the club he's playing for. He's got another year after this and he's well thought of so chances are he could be around a bit longer. He'll end up in the top flight and when he does he'll not be playing on front of 2000 fans every week.

Living in Hamilton or Edinburgh? Playing in front of 2,000 at New Douglas Park or in front of 16,000 at Tynecastle? This while earning more dough and inevitably playing top flight football next season anyway.

A real Sophie's Choice for him, imo.

He's took the shitehouse route. There's little doubt now the team he has signed for will be in the top league next year, at the time? Nah. I wonder if he'll bottle it (again) come the seasons end.

Hearts were always going to get promoted this season. Hibs would never have the bottle to beat us over two legs in a play-off and we are a far better side than dross like Ross County, St. Mirren and Motherwell.

A terrific career choice by Keatings.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that even with one of the weakest/most inexperienced sides in Heart of Midlothian's history we still only picked up two points less than the side that finished 7th last season.

Nothing but quality has since been added in every single department to that squad, with our talented younger players now a year older. Next season we'll be top six at a canter and challenging for Europe again.

It's cute watching how desperate the Dundee fans on here are at trying to make it seem like there's some sort of seismic gap in footballing talent between the bottom half of the Premiership and the top half of the Championship, though.

Dundee won a weaker league last year, only winning 21 out of 36 games. We are going to smash that total this year when the division is the strongest it's been in ages.

Dundee are sitting 7th in the premier league and I'm totally confident hearts are a better side than dundee. Next season we will find out for sure though.

Yet still would have been in the play offs.

On the back of a great run of form and unlike the Lochenders, we wouldn't have bottled an encounter with the mighty Hamilton Academical in hilarious, humiliating fashion. 8)

Hearts are far a better team than the Dundee from last season, heck they even managed to get beat of a pub team twice on route to the title.

To put it in perspective he's playing in the top team in the league and has scored less goals than Jordan White who is playing in the bottom team in the league.
