jamamafegan
Trailer released today. Looks absolutely shite. A real, real shame. They should have stopped after The Lost World. Trained velociraptors? Feeding dinosaurs Great White Sharks? A genetically modified killer dinosaur? Daft, plain daft. I'll still probably go to see it for the sake of it, but what a way to top off ruining a fantastic franchise.
Ludo*1
Trailer looks dreadful. Graphics looked better 20 years ago, how is that possible?!
Venti
It looks fucking awful. The sequels were all terrible tbh. 1st one was a classic though.
mrcat1990
The sequels were poor but at least they felt like sequels. This one seems to lack any semblance to the original and can get fucked really.
jamamafegan
I thought the Lost World was good. Yeah it got ridiculous at the end with a T-Rex loose in New York, but apart from that it was a very enjoyable film. 3rd one had potential but they fucked it. This one...just looks beyond dreadful. There isn't any sign of models being used in that trailer. And, as Ludo said, the graphics are actually worse. Have to say I'm enjoying CGI less and less. What really pisses me off is that already people are creaming themselves over this film. They have no clue.
Bobby Skidmarks
Who knew Richie Cunningham could produce such a hot daughter? The film looks shite.
KnightswoodBear
I thought the trailer sold the film quite well. With regards to the CGI, as with the trailers for all these kinds of films, it won't be anywhere near finished yet.
Ludo*1
This is gonna do for dinosaur films what Deep Blue Sea did for shark films.
yoda
The CGI looks poor in some places but most of it does these days: The Hobbit is abysmal looking FFS. They still have time to touch it up so fingers crossed. FWIW, I like the idea (trained velociraptors aside). We're now seeing the realisation of John Hammond's dream so the "theme park" stuff is appealing to me. The GM dinosaur could work and at least it's a throwback to the premise of the first film with a dinosaur rampaging around the park. Not sure how anyone can conclude "doesn't seem like Jurassic Park" based on that. People forget that The Lost World has a terrible idea behind it but it worked out okay in the end (apart from the T-Rex on the loose bit). JP3 was terrible and looks much worse than this. The Jurassic Park franchise isn't actually that fantastic anyway, bar the original. I'll go and see it, not expecting it to come anywhere close to the original but optimistic that it won't turn out to be a total shitfest.
yoda
This is gonna do for dinosaur films what Deep Blue Sea did for shark films. Has there ever been a good "shark film" apart from the first Jaws? No.

jamamafegan
The trained raptors aspect makes me sick. Raptors were never meant to be our friends. Terrible decision to include that. The whole feeding a shark thing is sad as well because it's exactly what humans do to seals and orcas at seaworld today. There's also to much CGI for my liking going on there. From the park gates to the dinosaurs. Looks like little effort has been put in. EDIT: even the background is CGI. They could have at least used the same, real life backdrop as they did in previous films.
forever_blue
Trained raptors ? Get tae f**k . Most heartbreaking moment of any Jurassic park was when they let that spiney thing in the 3rd beat the t-Rex in a square go just naw
yoda
Loving the avatar, yoda. Hehehrerawrrrr herrr herrr HAHA HAHA Ian Malcolm is some boy. EDIT: even the background is CGI. They could have at least used the same, real life backdrop as they did in previous films. They filmed on location in Hawaii and in New Orleans for most of the island scenes. Obviously some of it will be in a studio but the background in most of the scenes will be natural.
jamamafegan
Take this with a pinch of salt but this could be a picture of the hybrid they are speaking of in the trailer. Picture in spoiler. EDIT: Picture fake
P45
It's a sequel to a pile of shite, it's aimed at weans and Spielberg hasn't done anything decent in 15 years. It was never going to be anything but a total disappointment. Chris Pratt might rescue it.
1320Lichtie
Trailer looked alright, but raptors shouldn't be trained that's baws. Seemed a bit to tidy for a Jurassic park movie. Love the series, all you need is some random people turning up on an island, realising WTF it is, trying to get off with a good back story to it with a big surprise and a monumental scene. There's yer dinner. I loved Godzilla old one, hated new one, hope it's not the same here. Quite liked the look of the rest of it though it'll be different. They dumbed down Star Wars, The Hobbit was dumbed down compared to LOTR and now they seemed to have dumbed down Jurassic Park. Kids are fucking shite, there's enough kids films out there. They can get to f**k.
forever_blue
The end scene better be the t-Rex coming oot and booting this new Imposters baws and order is resumed .
DigOutYourSoul
I'm sure Universal are extending Islands of Adventure to extend the Jurrasic Park area with new rollercoasters etc. When I was there in October there was a huge building project underway - it all makes sense now.
