Kilbowie's Finest
BBC4 just showed the first two episodes of the 1981 version of the John Wyndham Classic earlier tonight- brilliant tv and miles better than the Eddie Izzard / Dougray Scott version from a few years back Remember it really scaring me as a kid - shows how quickly society could fall apart if we lost our sight. Well worth watching on I- Player if you've never seen it before

accies1874
Remember watching it what must have been around 8 years ago now and it completely gripped me and had me shitting myself. If its on the iPlayer then I'll probably give it a rewatch as I was only 8 at the time.
jagfox
Put me off gardening for life Gripping stuff, coupled with Threads lead to some seriously screwed up nightmares as a kid!
Ranaldo Bairn
Brilliant. I'm sure someone brought this up, along with Threads, about a year ago. I think only the first episode of DOTT is online, but I went and grabbed a John Wyndham omnibus and thoroughly recommend reading it. The Kraken Wakes and The Chrysalids are the other novels included. Both really involving and threatening in different ways, although naturally a bit dated in style now somewhat. I did sit down and watch all of Threads on Youtube. Crivvens.
